^In the video game 'Team Fortress 2', the chaingun wielding 'heavy' character has access to a healing item called the sandvich. The downside to using the sandvich is that you are defenseless during the time it takes to eat the sandvich, and you also make loud eating noises that give away your position. The person in this video tricked one of his opponents by making those chomping noises with his own voice, thereby luring him into an ambush.

Then again, she's been proving how stupid she is for quite some time. Remember she was the one that basically ambushed W to give him a kiss?

God, I hope she gets voted out in 2010 - I could use a Representative with an IQ higher than her shoe size.

Since we're all using anecdotal evidence about whether or not guns make a difference, here's some from this week.

You can find plenty of cases like this in casual news searches. I've had similar problems in my neighborhood over the last year alone where home invaders were scared off by homeowners with firearms. It's true that people without police/military training are not likely to be Rambo in high stress situations like the one demonstrated in the sift. Hell, even with training there is still a large element of chance when sitting in what is essentially a shooting gallery while you're ambushed by a gunman that has the draw on you. However, I don't think that makes a compelling argument for writing off concealed carrying.

Now for some real evidence. The Lott study from the University of Chicago contains plenty of real data on crime deterrance and firearms. Studies done in Florida showed crime dropped significantly after concealed carry laws were enacted. Also, of the crimes reported in Florida between 1987 and 1994, only 18 were attributed to legally licensed owners (of which there were over 220,000). There is a documented connection between decreased homicides, rapes, and assaults in states where citizens can legally carry firearms. Facing a serious risk of death while attempting a burglary or robbery tends to deter people. If that knowledge still isn't enough to stop them, then bullets get the job done quite effectively.

Before yesterday, you never did anything to make me dislike you. You voted for my silly videos, and I was always happy to see your vote there, to make them go up to the front page. Yes, I might have gotten a downvote because my extreme roller coaster clip wasn't exciting, but I never considered you a jerk. I thought you were just fine, a nice guy to me.

I am sad that you had to go out with a bang, with a BAD bang. I rather you has just left, said your goodbyes and stayed away until you felt better about yourself, or the world.

I hope you find a niche and start feeling better. Hate is not the way to go. Living in pain is not the way to go. There are things that make you happy. I means just happy, not happy in a way of 'I made somebody feel bad today, therefore I must be better then them' way.

Sorry that I am preaching. I just have had way too much drama in RL at work, in here lately. You can disagree with people without being an asshole. Deal with it! Grow up, find something you enjoy to do. Obviously Videosift wasn't that.

No way man. Never cheated in my life -- the boomer is really loud and I have a rather good speaker setup so I can localize sounds quite well. Try hiding in narrow passageways and such or try to ambush from above. A boomer out in the open is rather ineffective.
