How that Bidenomics going. Not so good is it. The Biden economic clock winding down.

Bidenomics Blowback - Survey-Based Sentiment Collapses As 'Hope' Evaporates

Under the hood was even more problematic:

New orders fell at a faster pace; signaling contraction

Employment fell at a slower pace; signaling contraction

Inventories fell at a faster pace; signaling contraction

Supplier deliveries fell and a faster pace; signaling contraction

Production fell at a faster pace; signaling contraction

Order backlogs fell at a slower pace; signaling contraction

Worse still, Prices paid rose again!

So, in summary: slower growth, declining production, shrinking orders, falling employment... and accelerating inflation - is it any wonder that 'soft survey' data is collapsing - not exactly election-winning headlines.

Biden's foreign policy is just as bad--- a bad joke.

Israeli Soldiers Use Food Aid As Trap To Murder Palestinians

newtboy says...

So again, that’s a “no”. You are not man enough to admit statements that are true. No surprise.

Instead you would prefer to make up some alternative facts that make you feel good.

Violent settlers (often Americans) forcing Palestinians off their land at gun point or just outright murdering them to steal their land increased exponentially during Trump’s tenure, as did IDF attacks on innocent civilians (often in support of the settlers, not counted in official IDF killings), they also increased the slow genocide of medical embargoes, intentional starvation, cutting off water and electricity, violent random attacks on mosques, all under Trump. They don’t count those as “IDF killings” either, but they are.

The IDF has been committing a slow boil genocide for decades, under both parties, a genocide they accelerated under Trump’s regime in many ways, and again under Biden when they used their (intentional?) abject intelligence failure in Oct. as an excuse for escalating farther to such an extent its looking likely they allowed the attack for that very reason, an excuse for escalating the genocide. It’s become clear they caused many of the casualties on Oct 7 and made false rape claims that have been debunked, also to excuse their escalation.

Netanyahu is a far right wing “leader” Trump still today lovingly calls Bibi who would have been out of office without Trump’s help and quite recently Don has voiced his FULL support for any lengths Netanyahu wants to go including taking the entire Gaza Strip and expelling the residents (into the sea because no country will take them, knowing if they do Israel will use them having a country to take refuge in as a pretext to take the West Bank too)…and you want to pretend Biden who has called him a war criminal is MORE complicit than Trump who backed his every genocidal move. 😂

At least you are consistent in your fantasy world…you never leave. Too bad it cost you your balls, spine, mind, and soul. I hope you like it in there up your rectum. 😂

IDF was not committing genocide under Trump.

CycberTruck Beats a Porsche 911

newtboy says...

So the top of the line Tesla truck costing over $100k can beat an old base model Porsche while towing up to 2300 lbs (my guess is it’s probably just a shell at +-500lbs) under Elons supervision in a 1/4 mile. How many runs did it take to get this shot? Absolutely more than one.

Total fake. Let’s see it in real life booby, with a new 911 turbo that’s sub 2.2 seconds 0-60mph (road and track said 1.9 seconds), not an old used base model against a race prepped truck and not using launch, in fact not even reving the motor for a fast start, you can barely hear it, but you hear the truck tires chirp. Also, given another 200 ft, even that Porsche would have won, of course EVs have better off the line acceleration, a leaf beats a Porsche in a 1/8 mile. Nice try Elon.

Elon is still butt hurt because Porsche beat him at Nürburgring last year, taking the lap record from a special plaid using a standard Taycan (which is cheaper too), so he’s trying to save face with this fake comparison.

He’s promised big before and fell flat on his face, remember bullet proof windows?
Notice the specs he lists are his claims for an unloaded high end special >$100k model, not the base model and absolutely not the race we saw.

Don’t you hate being lied to? I do.

RC Rock Crawler Sumo

cloudballoon says...

I don't remember the model my brothers & I had anymore, as it was like over 3 decades ago, but they were analog Tamiyas. In addition to being analog sticks, there were sliders that I can fine tune acceleration limits on every axis (can control helicopters too). And that was then. Can't imagine entering these competition without these type of advanced controls with if you have a in-it-to-win-it mentality.

newtboy said:

Easy to do with RC. The difference between enough throttle to move and way too much is minuscule…or at least was when I had RC cars.

CHP Officer not happy when you go 90 mph

eric3579 says...

Since we're telling CHP speeding stories...

Many decades ago, on prom night, I found myself driving to a party on an empty stretch of Highway 1 between Santa Cruz and Aptos, travelling at a speed of approximately 90-100 mph. I noticed headlights steadily approaching from far behind and slowly pass me before accelerating away. Of course it was CHP.

Ooof….Tesla …another 10% down this week. What a great strategy to go all in on one stock because you like the owner’s politics so believe his hype….not.
Down over 65% ytd. and still in accelerating freefall.
On a good note, it’s PE ratio is only double a healthy PE now, not 10 times! When it hits 70 it will be a fair deal….but likely on its way out so not a good buy. Tesla was ALWAYS a speculative bubble, as we all told you a year ago. Bubbles burst….this one has. So much for being rich, eh? You’ve lost 65% of your portfolio value and still shrinking….and somehow you’re still suggesting Tesla is a good buy. 🤦‍♂️

One might think you would stop predicting the future since you get it wrong every time….but you just won’t. I suppose attention for being wrong is still attention, so I’ve given you what you wanted.

Tesla driver loses control as car speeds down street

newtboy says...

That’s Tesla’s position…but no.

The man had been complaining about the brakes not working properly for months according to his family (yet kept driving, making him culpable imo).

It’s easily possible his brake sensor failed on the pedal, then there would be no light. Since I assume, to be capable of autopilot, Tesla brakes are by wire/electrical, not hydraulic, a simple sensor failure means no brakes at all and no brake lights. (And no record that he hit the brakes)

Again, never once heard of a panic pedal misidentification lasting 1/2 that long. Possible, but unlikely. 99/100 of pedal misidentification are well under 1 second mistakes during parking. There have been many reports of throttle sticking/ accelerating without throttle input in teslas.

Since Tesla denies fault EVERY TIME NO MATTER WHAT, and hides the vast majority of driver assisted crashes, I’ll wait for the third party investigation, but on the surface, to me, it looks like a software (or hardware) failure….and that’s what the driver says too.

bcglorf said:

Not that I want to be siding with the corporation, but I'm inclined to believe that at least the brake lights would've remained connected to pressing the brake pedal, no?

And... not seeing any brake lights in that video, it looks like driver error and then panic.

Tesla driver loses control as car speeds down street

bcglorf says...

Painful as it is to somewhat side with Bob, but...

this certainly has the look of someone mistakenly stomping on the accelerator instead of the brakes, and in a panic locking their foot to the floor trying to stop.

Not sure if Tesla's logs are as accessible to them in China, but unlike earlier "stuck accelerator" claims, Tesla may be able to clear point to log records showing if that was or wasn't the case here.

Tesla driver loses control as car speeds down street

newtboy says...

Yeah…Elon doesn’t have enough problems right now, time for him to merge his car and his rocket companies and get his cars to become unguided missiles. Next step is Twitter integration to target non verified pedestrians. That will make $8 for verification seem worth it!

Holy shit!
Sometimes unbelievable acceleration and AI driven steering isn’t such a good thing. Yikes!

Republican Socialists

newtboy says...

Trump took the healthy economy off a cliff to the worst economy, employment, and gdp in history. It took him <4 years….and was responsible for over 1 million unnecessary deaths of Americans because of his lack of response to Covid. Downward spiral?! Trump put us in rocket assisted free fall. Biden accelerated the crawling failing economy into an upward spiral.
Obama and Biden spent a lot, but in 4 years Trump spent far more than their 10 years combined while lowering the amount the government brings in on multiple fronts (so increased the debt and deficit in two ways, spending more while making less), and Obama inherited a recession and left a boom, Trump inherited a boom and left a recession….Biden inherited economic collapse, active terroristic sedition, horrific unemployment, and pandemic…all 4 issues are better today than they were on Jan 20, 21.

The inflation reduction act, Bobby. That’s what’s being done.
Also student debt forgiveness.
Edit-Also raising interest rates, finally. Can’t blame Biden for the federal reserve’s hesitation, however….he doesn’t control them and can only make suggestions.
That’s the answer.
Almost every Republican opposed it (them) and voted against it (them), nearly every Republican then went home and took credit for it (them) and said it (they) was a great thing for their constituents (but pretended they hadn’t been against it (them) with every fiber of their being because it’s (they’re) really popular)….just like they did with the infrastructure bill.

Higher interest rates ARE helping, just not enough yet. It definitely should have started earlier than March…. .25% interest rates were just insanely low. Inflation has lowered, but as you well know, Trump’s administration just printed over 1/5 of every dollar in 2020….just made 20% more dollars while gdp went to -32.9% and unemployment skyrocketed to unheard of levels. This causes 20% inflation or more all by itself…Joe’s administration kept that below 10% miraculously.

If bankruptcy boy was still running the economy, we would have 20% inflation, more oil infrastructure sold to the Saudis (they bought the biggest refinery in America in secret under Trump and cut production), higher gas and oil prices, no infrastructure funding, no inflation plan, Ukraine would no longer exist, NATO would still be impotent, ….bankrupting a country is much worse than bankrupting 6 businesses. Trump did both.

Thanks Biden….

P.S.- Nice deflection from the undeniable hypocrisy the video is about. Way to completely ignore the right now taking credit for the popular and helpful Biden legislation they all opposed….praising it, explaining what a great thing it is for their states, economy, and constituents while pretending they didn’t ALL vote against it out of pure spite which outweighs any wish for America to succeed. Their sudden love for the law they diametrically and insultingly opposed is absolute proof they oppose beneficial legislation simply to avoid letting Biden succeed.

Edit: Will you ever get tired of begging for attention for being 100% wrong 99.6% of the time?

Republican Socialists

bobknight33 says...

Joe and his party has accelerated the American economy on a downward spiral.

This has been decades in the making.

Trump spent a lot, but so did Obama and Biden.

The question is whats being done now to to correct the economy?

What is the answer?

Higher interest rates are not helping, not at the rate of change that has been put forth.

“Don’t Look Up” in Real Life

Lol.
Reasontv, the network of the insanity from Stossel, with the stated position that “free market and deregulation is the solution to any and every problem imaginable”. That’s the best you’ve got!?! Then you’ve got NOTHING. You actually complain that CNN isn’t trustworthy, then you post from Reasontv!?! Er mer gerd! 🤦‍♂️ why not just post Beck or Jones?

They completely misrepresent what the report, and climate activists, and politicians have said with bad editing and lies here, no surprise, you posted it, it was guaranteed to be DISHONEST nonsense propaganda.

Land temperatures reached 1.3C above pre industrial norms in 2020. Every prediction made has come true well ahead of schedule. Temperature rise is accelerating, it’s not the flat straight line nor a slowing rate like they showed but an increasing curve. The last 7 years were all in the top 10 hottest ever, the last decade had 9 of the hottest ever, and we are experiencing a global drought never seen by modern man….but according to you, nothing burger, totally normal, chicken little.

https://www.iflscience.com/nine-of-the-top-10-hottest-years-ever-all-occurred-in-the-last-decade-62232

There is one thing I agree with, the “12 years to stop climate disaster” notion (not what the science says btw) is wrong. We have -20 years +-. The CO2 we put in the atmosphere today will effect climate for hundreds to a thousand years, the nitrous oxide for about 120, methane around 10. We have reached the point where natural emissions will soon take over, adding more than humans ever did. Scientists estimate that’s at 1.5C, but every estimate they’ve made public has turned out to be optimistic in the extreme, so 1.5C is almost certainly wishful thinking and 1.25C is more likely the threshold. We can both mitigate the effects and slow the rate of change, but at this point staying below 1.5C is a pipe dream no one is actually even working towards.

I think the reality is that, using current models, assuming no surprises or feedback loops, we have (now 8 ) years before the adding these greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere will carry us well beyond 1.5C above “normal” with no additional emissions needed….not that we will definitely hit 1.5 by 2030 but we will be able to coast there even with zero emissions.
I know, math and science together, way too hard, better to just listen to the oil spokesmen who say “it’s a hoax, pay no attention to the cities reaching 130F, the unprecedented heat globally, the rapidly melting (or melted) glaciers that historically provide drinking water for 1.9 BILLION people, or the never before seen by man extreme global droughts, they’re all normal and natural and why are you still talking about it?”.

No surprise, one more undeniable, in your face disaster you simply deny exists….like Covid, Jan 6, Russian election interference, -3.5%gdp, Trump terrorism, etc.
Can we have your name so when the global food supply is insufficient we know who’s family to deny food?

“Don’t Look Up” in Real Life

Crop failure by 2030!?….oops, try 2022.
Unprecedented drought and unheard of global temperatures right now. Massive crop failures worldwide, and more just not being planted for lack of water.
We aren’t on the road to global catastrophe, we are knee deep in one. Thousands if not tens of thousands will die This week in Europe as a direct result of human caused climate change. Over 1500 died in Spain and 1000 in Portugal from heat just in this one event, over 4200 across Europe….so far. Crop losses will multiply that exponentially.
We are on the downhill ride into mass extinction and we already ripped our brakes out and pulled the steering wheel off and are arguing over how hard to stomp on the accelerator.
If the ecological cost of burning gasoline was included in the price, it would be well over $10.
