Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called 'religious rights.'

When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to 'the reasonable' Muslim demands for their 'religious rights,' they also get the other components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States -- Muslim 1.0%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1%-2%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. ( United States ).

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris --car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam - Mohammed cartoons).

Alright, people. One of my best friends goes to the University of Pittsburgh and he was in the middle of the whole thing. Most of the "protesters" were just students curious about what was going on. He wrote this about it all:

"This note is for my friends who are not in Pittsburgh and have not yet been given a fairly comprehensive version of what has been going on here. If you have been seeing my wall posts, you'll know that something bad happened in Pittsburgh, but if you want my story, here it is...

On Thursday and Friday September 24-25, the G-20 World Leader's Summit occurred in Pittsburgh. The summit involved the leaders of the United States, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Russia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. The purpose of the summit is to have a forum for the major world leaders about the global economic crisis. Pittsburgh was chosen to be the location for the summit in order to highlight its economic recovery after the city's manufacturing industry collapsed about 40 years ago.

The G-20 is always met with protesters for various causes, including global warming awareness, socialism, peoples' rights in other countries, anti-free-trade, and anti-war, and anarchy. The city of Pittsburgh was required to bring in police forces from all regions of the state of Pennsylvania and other nearby states.

On the evening of the 24th, the summit began with a dinner in the Phipps Conservatory, a plant exhibition hall (really quite a nice place) just under a mile from my dorm in the borough of Oakland. The University cancelled classes after 4:00 PM that day in order to ensure that students did not have to be outside if they did not wish to. During the day of the 24th, several protests had been broken up by riot police. At about 7:00 PM a small protest began at the Schenley Plaza. I went there to investigate myself at about 8:00 PM. The protest itself was fairly small, only about a hundred or so people total, with only a handful of protesters. There was some live music and dancing, courtesy of the Hare Krishna. Despite the fact that the protest was fairly small and peaceful, there were several hundred police forming a perimeter around the plaza, which is under a quarter-mile from the Conservatory. All of the Police were in riot gear, which covered any form of identification they may have had; they were also all armed with lethal and non-lethal weapons.

Around 9:00, I decided to return to my dorm. At 10:15, I overheard someone saying that they saw fire on Forbes Avenue. I decided to go out and investigate. At this point, the street had been flooded by curious students, and would remain that way until the police removed them. Several dumpsters had been pushed into the intersection of Forbes and Atwood by anarchist protesters. The next intersection had a overturned dumpster with flaming garbage spilled on the street. Several shop windows had been broken by a protester from California, however the media initially implicated that it had been students who were responsible.

I reached the lawn of the Pitt Union, and at about 10:45 the police began to multiply rapidly. They also brought in several scary-looking trucks with large dish-shaped things on them. This turned out to be a Long-Range Acoustic Device (LRAD), which emits a loud, scary noise which is physically disabling within a certain radius. At 11:00 PM, the trucks began playing a pre-recorded message declaring that the people in the streets had become an "illegal gathering" and that the crowd was to disperse, or they could be subject to arrest or attack with "less lethal" weaponry (does that mean you're less dead when you get hit?)

At this, I decided to retreat to Forbes Hall. Other people were not fortunate enough to get out of there as quickly as I did, and became exposed to a hail of "OC" gas, rubber bullets, mace, LRAD blasts, and nightsticks. The University unfortunately decided to lock down the residence halls as the police approached, giving the retreating students nowhere to go to escape from the police. One of my friends was arrested while holding open the doors to the Litchfield Towers residence hall lobby so that escaping students had somewhere to go. She was dragged outside of the doorway, beaten to the ground, not given any rights, held for five hours, and released without any charge as of yet.

At the time, I was unaware of this, but I watched the police advance through the lower campus (residential area, mainly between Forbes and Fifth avenues) via the live feed on the local news. When I noticed that they were three blocks away from Forbes Hall, I went to the patio on the second floor of the hall (out of reach of anyone who didn't live there or have a friend there). At about midnight, the cops were in front of the hall, still chasing a small group of protesters despite being nearly a mile from the original protest ground and being practically at the end of the campus. Without any real warning, they threw several canisters of "OC" gas onto the patio. Unknown to me at the time, several also entered the lobby and threatened to mace several students who were unable to enter the hall due to the lockdown.

OC gas is for all intents and purposes the same as tear gas. When you inhale it, your lungs and throat itch and you can't do anything but cough. If it gets in your eyes, you become partially blind and it feels like your eyes are melting. I was several feet away from a grenade and was directly exposed to it for several seconds as my fellow students and I tried to escape. I ran to my bathroom on the sixth floor and flushed my eyes and choked for five minutes. The third floor had window open out of which the students had been looking, it was filled with gas, and the students living on the third floor became refugees for several hours while it cleared.

Shortly after passing Forbes hall, the police attack ended. They left Oakland with 42 arrests (most were let go that morning), and a large number of unfairly treated, assaulted, and pissed students. The university itself has yet to make any statement regarding Thursday night, but the Mayor of Pittsburgh and Chief of Police have stated that they are "proud of how well the police handled the situation". They are apparently not fans of students either.

I will save my personal commentary and descriptions of the aftermath for another note. However, here are a few links that you will find interesting.

Yeah, the 'personhood' model and the cognitive machine model are each useful levels of detail for the same thing... the best one to use probably depends on what your application is.

I don't blame people, though, for holding views that I think have big costs for society... I think we're all in the same trap of limited human intelligence - them more so than us - and people will change their minds in the end.

Also, the libertarian in me says that society's lack of intelligence only has a cost on us if we let it (to some degree). Turing, for example, as much as I personally admire him for his genius, chose to take certain risks, and he lost the bet.

CANTALOUPE off Old Street in the East End.

It has a nice loungey area that looks perfect to hang out in for a chat and some drinks/food.
Their bar menu sounds delicious and food starts at 3 pounds, with burgers around 6 pounds.
They also have a good range of beers, including the Czech Budvar.
My London local friend also tells me there are a few cool bars around the area in case we want to switch location later on.

The health care part I don't think needs to be as hard as some think it is, solutions seem to be both in reach and non-damaging to any real competition. The only ones hurt should be the vultures. It's based on costs and reducing them, the following page will help set the table for the idea. The Kaiser Family Foundation, home of the Kaiser Permanente health care groups, offers a bit of data for it and tends to be a well respected source.

As that demonstrates we as Americans pay twice as much or close to it per capita what other nations do, nations such as Germany, United Kingdom, Sweden and so on manage to cover all of their people and to do it for about half of what we pay to just cover some of them. The why of it is both the problem and the solution.

Private insurance companies have managed to insert themselves so heavily into our politics and policy over the last few decades that as rules were rewritten they always tended to be weighted in favor of those who donated big money, and that wasn't us as consumers. Simply replace them if they can't be more than vultures. I do NOT want "socialized health care" in the sense of a micromanaged system but there does seem to be both valid reason and need to have national insurance.

That would probably cover just basic services such as high blood pressure, check ups, and such like that, the expensive stuff such as transplants would likely still fall under supplemental insurance for those who can afford it. They don't tell the docs what to do, we've got medical boards to set standards of care. They just pay the bills. And the docs and hospitals are still self employed, they just submit basic services to a national insurance instead of private.

Yes, there's a million ways it could be done badly but paying twice as much as others for worse services isn't exactly an option worth defending either. We've just got to pay attention and stay involved if we can manage that.

Other aspects of this mess are similar. We don't need sweeping changes to our way of life or anything ridiculous like that, we just need some moderation and redistribution. Yes, I know, dirty word redistribution is, at least until we think about circumstances and the extent we'll redistribute it to. Over the last 30 or so years worker productivity has climbed and climbed again, business profits have climbed and climbed again, and CEO compensation has climbed then climbed again. The one that that hasn't changed much is OUR level of compensation. Real wages adjusted for inflation has been nearly stagnant with minor increases compared to the value offered.

They donated the big bucks, they made the rules to more and more favor themselves, and though yes, it was all legal, it's also legal to say enough is enough and it's time to stop profiteering while your nation falls into disrepair. Power attracts power and money attracts money, we all know it works like that and on the surface there's nothing wrong with that. At least not until it's taken to an extreme. When we hit that extreme we end up with depressions, revolutions, or other civil disturbances which serve to level the playing field again. If we want to avoid the occasional unrest and disturbance we've got to keep a better balance in the first place. Balance is what we forgot. You can't keep feeding the majority of a nations wealth to a very small number of people and expect that nation to become anything but poor as a whole. If the people can't afford to buy anymore the markets cease to function and all the free market idealism in the world won't get them going again. You need to keep money in the pockets of those who are most likely to actually spend it too.

Kelly Media Group (KMG, Inc.) was founded in 2003 by Jason Cardiff. Kelly Media Group is a direct marketing agency. Anyone who has ever received junk mail in their mailbox will know what direct marketing is.

Kelly Media’s website states,”Why would you chance the future of your business on an advertising company that has to outsource your mailing campaigns to a 3rd-party fulfillment house. It is imperative that you place your direct mailing endeavors into the hands of a proven direct mailer, like Kelly Media Group.”

Why would you chance your future of your business on a fraudulent bag of manure like Jason Cardiff is a better question.

One of the areas specifically mentioned on Kelly Media Group’s website is “Church Marketing”. And boy does Kelly Media know how to market for the church. You see, the founder of Kelly Media, Jason Cardiff, also happens to be the son-in-law of Peter Popoff.

Peter Popoff, who in 1987 was making $4.3 million per MONTH, is a self proclaimed televangelist and claims to be a faith healer. He was a widely popular minister in the 1980s.

Yes, Peter Popoff, disgraced faith healer, and his collaborator wife, Elizabeth, are on the air trolling for dollars. On cable infomercials, Popoff promotes the Peter Popoff World Outreach Ministry, pleading for viewers to order his book, Prosperity Thinking: God’s Dynamic Forces That Bring Riches to
YOU! and get his new free, tiny vial of “Miracle Spring Water.” Intercut is scenes from his revival show where he lays hands on the afflicted, allegedly curing all sorts of medical problems (wink! wink!) and, oddly, supposedly freeing a woman’s jailed son.

Also intercut are scenes of Elizabeth reading “testimonials” of the cures from viewers healed by the
water or by Popoff through the TV.

Popoff, was exposed by James Randi on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in 1986. Randi and friends found out that Elizabeth was transmitting information to Peter, who wore a hidden earpiece
camouflaged as a hearing aid (very strange for a man who could supposedly cure all manners of illness).

Randi said, “I explained how Popoff had sent Reeford Sherrill (his ‘front man’), Volmer Thrane, and his wife, Elizabeth, into the audience in advance, equipped with transmitters to gather and broadcast the needed data backstage to the reverend.”

During the show, Elizabeth would prompt him again on the problems claimed by certain people in the audience. It then looked like he knew a person’s name and affliction as if given the information by
God! During one part of the revival section of the new show, Popoff gets worked up and touches the foreheads of afflicted persons, who usually fall backwards into the arms of one “volunteers”.

Youtube hosts numerous videos of this fraud, including James Randi on the Johnny Carson show in which Popoff’s wife Elizabeth, can actually be heard revealing audience member’s names and their illnesses to Peter via radio signals sent to the earpiece. Elizabeth can be heard to say, “Hello, Petey. I love you! I'm talking to you. Can you hear me? If you can't, you're in trouble, 'cause I'm talking as well as I can! I'm looking up names right now."

In one recorded session Elizabeth Popoff speaks: "Reeford's got a hot one!" (Laughter.) "Reeford's so excited! He came running in back here and scared us half to death! You ready for a hot one? Okay! Want a hot one? Hot one! Hot off the press! Ruby Lee Harris. Ruby Lee. She is standing in the far back where there's no chairs. (Long pause) "...Ruby Lee Harris. She's against the back wall. She's got lumps in her breast. You might want to whisper it - have her walk down! Have her run up there. Run! Oh! Look at her run! (Loud laughter) "she's got knots in her breast." (Laughter and giggles.) A home run! A home run!" (Then, later on, giggles are heard, and Pam speaks.) "At any rate, she should kick him in the face!" (giggles) (Elizabeth speaks.) "Pam says to make her - Pam thinks that you should have her kick him in the face (Giggles.)

Elizabeth Popoff and several aides would scout the audience looking for "hot" ones. They would ask them, "Is Jesus going to heal you? And what's your name, and where do you live? Have you had this condition long?" They would write all this information down on cards, which later on Elizabeth would recite during the service via her concealed transmitter. She carried the power source in a large handbag, and the transmitter and microphone were hidden under her blouse.

Peter Popoff claimed that the video footage shown on Johnny Carson was a fake and that the woman who was said to be his wife Elizabeth was really an actor hired by NBC.

When the Popoff ministry was asked whether Popoff used a secret receiver in his ear, Janice Gleason, a public relations consultant for the Popoff organization, said that the electronic receiver in Popoff's ear was used only to keep in touch with the television crew. (In the hours of taped transmissions, there was not one communication with the television crew.) Gleason said she believed that the woman's voice heard on the Tonight Show was faked. But Popoff later admitted that it was his wife who was communicating with him

Peter Popoff also declared bankruptcy when his viewers began leaving him in droves after the revelation of fraud.

So it’s now 2009 and how does all of this tie in with the Kelly Media Group?

Nick Popoff, the son of Peter “fraud” Popoff works as consultant for Kelly Media, and Peter’s son-in-law Jason Cardiff is the founder of Kelly Media Group. Furthermore, the PeterPopoffMinistries website was created by Kelly Media Group.

Taking a closer look at the direct mail services of Kelly Media Group. People who sign up at Peter Popoff’s ministry website, are asked for their mailing address and email address. Once the information is filled out, people begin to receive up to two-dozen postal letters from Peter Popoff.
Each letter is personally addressed to the person (ex: "Robert, God has given me something that I must give you," the letter begins). Computer-generated type is made to look like handwriting and only the names are changed from one letter to the next.

A former Kelly Media Group employee states, “while working for Kelly Media, which is an advertising agency owned and operated by Peter Popoffs son-in-law Jason Cardiff, it was my job to enter prayer requests and donations into a database. These entries into the database would generate a letter to be sent back to the person who wrote in. It would print up a detailed letter, which appears to be handwritten by Peter Popoff himself telling people that he was praying for them, and their particular problems.

The letters begin, 'The other day I was praying for you, and decided to go to a coffee shop where I knew I could focus, and everytime I said your name I was embraced by the holy spirit.'

Do you really think Peter Popoff spends even 15 seconds reading through the hundreds of letters that he receives?

Popoff’s staff take the money out that Peter Popoff has asked the people for, writes the prayer requests on the envelope, and sends them to Kelly Media Group who type them into the database. The coffee shop line quoted above will be mass produced, word for word on each letter for about sixty thousand people at a time. All the while people think that they are sending him money to advance the work of god, and that in return he is praying for them. Peter Popoff is not only not praying for these people, he doesnt even know who they are.

Peter Popoff, Elizabath Popoff, Jason Cardiff are enjoying the good life for now, based on the dollars donated by people who don’t know any better. This family engage in fraud and questionable practices to conduct their business.

As a final testimony to the dishonest and questionable practices of Kelly Media Group and the Popoff’s, let’s take a look at the Direct Response Advertising Watch Dogs Of America. Imagine that, a group that takes time to watch and study advertising executives to see their performance and results. What would be the motivating factor here? How would this group earn an income? What else do they do?

The website for DRAWDA really doesn’t say much else about them. Portions of the website are incomplete as if the web developer stopped halfway through designing the site.

DRAWDA does mention though, Jason Cardiff. In fact DRAWDA actually names Jason Cardiff as an “up and coming direct response television advertising executive for 2008.”
Here is what they have to say about Mr. Cardiff:

Finally, if you visit Youtube you will find videos of Cardiff giving a “tour” of the KMG warehouse and product fulfillment center. In the video, shot by an amateur cameraman who clumsily holds a camcorder, Cardiff touts his business while the cameraman pretends to be impressed with the otherwise boring warehouse. The entire video is clearly orchestrated and the cameraman is really another employee of KMG.

Avoid the Kelly Media Group at all costs or anything with the Popoff name.

If you ask the average Americans who the current Prime Minister of the United Kingdom is, what would they say? I dare say that the majority of people wouldn't know... and especially wouldn't know what his platform was, who he ran against and what his wife’s name is. So really, how is any of this important?

One final point - if you believe that Hamas are created to invade Israel, and you believe that this is possible, you really need to look very hard at Israel, their military, their nuclear weapons (which they have illegally against the non-proliferation treaty which they signed) and ask yourself what would happen if America, UK and the UN recognised this as being the real goal of Hamas.

This is your proof.

This makes Israeli invasion and occupation legal how? This charter is not denounced by the UN, regardless of its language. It is an extremist charter which, if you understand how culture works in politics, will unite an entire nation against an invading enemy.

It is not "my point" that Israel created Hamas, this is "what happened". Hamas is seen as the 'son of Israel' in the arab world. The majority of Israelis want to negotiate with Hamas. The majority of the world want Israel to negotiate with Hamas. The Jewish people who march on the streets every year want Israel to negotiate with Hamas.

You are completely missing the point - Hamas has a charter but they are willing to negotiate a settlement. Politics takes care of the rest of it PEACEFULLY. Hamas will remain in power whilst Israel occupy the land. Just so you know, the Irish republican charter does indeed lay claim to a part of the United Kingdom.

If you want to defend Hamas on the historical context of the Israeli occupation of the surrounding land, then the historical context of that occupation becomes relevant as well. Israel's occuption outside it's '68 borders is the direct result of the aggression of the surrounding Arab nations AGAINST Israel. Even many arab scholars in Egypt and Saudi Arabia are quick to point out that their own nations role in the Palestinian people's blight must not be ignored.

But I again agreed with your earlier statement that historical context leads to endless finger pointing, and the will of the people today is paramount.

Regardless of what has led up to Hamas growth, in it's current nature it is a divisive and militant organization when real negotiation is needed. The Palestinian Authority and Israel are getting along much better, and in an ideal world the PA would see growing support across Palestine as Israel worked with it. Supporting Hamas though is in direct contradiction to that and just keeps the circle of violence going.


All of the criticisms you lay against Hamas can also be said of Nelson Mandella, the Irish Republicans, and the ANC.
