Samantha Bee on Orlando - Again? Again.

Mordhaus says...

Sorry, but I am still against banning people from owning weapons based on browser history. Our government has a very nebulous definition of what it takes to be considered a terrorist.

Look at the individual in this shooting, the FBI suspected him, he underwent three FBI interviews and an undercover probe where he admitted to having terrorist ties. The FBI removed him from the terrorist watch list after all of that. Yet you can get added to the watchlist by looking at ISIS affiliated websites.

So, if we did follow the recommendations of the President, the terrorist would still have been OFF the watch list and able to buy guns, while the person who went to an ISIS site might be unable to.

The point is that no specific regulation is going to stop these shootings, other than to ban firearms altogether. I'm not willing to sacrifice that right.

But hey getting on a plane isn't a constitutional right, but apparently being able to murder the fuck out of your fellow citizens is!

Cali Officer Threatens Illegal Search

I'm thinking undercover.

Is that regulation hair length? You can see how wearing it down fucks with your vision. Especially in windy situations like this.

I mean, if she actually thought they were gang members, you'd think she wouldn't want a big ol' dangerous whack of hair in her eyes.

Fuller House - Official Trailer - Netflix

notarobot says...

There should be an episode where the Olsen twins go undercover to solve a mystery and they go to help Batman out and one of them accidentally kills The Joker but we're never sure which one.

Sorry, I did mean to put up a translation. I'm not 100% sure of this, but it should be close enough to get the idea:

Everybody plays Alphorn on the Mountainside, but at night in the Paul Theater's undercover carpark? The awesome reverberant acoustics simply demanded an encore :-)
Spontaneous session of the backing musician after the performance of "Jumper&Preuss" at Paul-Theater in Straubing (in the south of Germany, in Lower Bavaria). And for all those who can't believe you could top this, there is a second part with an equally unusual wind instrument...
Filmed just as spontaneously, quick and dirty filming, hand-held and without a camera rig - so please excuse any slightly dodgy focusing

I Made A Mistake I Bought A (Lemon) Jeep

Sadly this seems to be the norm in countries without lemon laws. CBC Marketplace, a Canadian undercover reporting group released a very similar expo on this type of treatment in Canada.

David Bowie ~ Ashes to Ashes

ulysses1904 says...

I bought this 45 rpm in 1980, back when they still sold 45's. First 45 I ever bought was "In the Year 2525" in 1969, last one I bought was the Stones "Undercover of the Night" in 1984. Since you asked.

This was Bowie's last great album. They went rapidly downhill after this one. I saw him on the Serious Moonlight tour, it was a great show but then I read this lame BS where he said he was "surprised" by the commercial success of "Let's Dance" and when he looked out into the vast stadiums of ticket buyers he wondered how many of them had actually heard a Velvet Underground song. Ya can't have it both ways, putting out a dance record for the MTV crowd and then wishing you were at a backstreet club.

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I'll see if it's still on the memory card, but last night my drivecam caught this sort of thing happening in front of me. An undercover police SUV had to jump the curb halfway down a block because 3 cars came to a stop in both lanes, and refused to move. He couldn't go oncoming as there was traffic and a fairly high divider.

Speaking Out On Street Harassment

bimbojimbo says...

The woman in the "experiment" is a total hypocrite. In fact, that little undercover experiment shot the credibility of everyone else's story, and the video in general.

She dressed in a way clearly meant to elicit reaction. heck she even said it was "provocative" hello, the word provocative literally means "voice call out forward" ... pro + vocare (latin for call, voice) Imagine a guy walking around with 100 bills taped all over his body, he'd be an idiot if he expected no one would look at him. If he was robbed, women would ask him .."huh why did you tape $100 bills all over you?"

The little BS hidden camera thing is clearly put on someone who's looking to find people to yell things out, for the purpose of "proving a point" and making a problem appear more serious than it is. If it happens to every day women constantly - then why not choose a woman that's dressed more "normally" ?

Obviously some of the more physical assault-like things are inexcusable, but anything else, verbal or otherwise, is just men doing what society (including women) have taught them to do: be aggressive, be bold.. why is it that...

good looking guy that calls out = man that is bold and goes after what he wants
ugly guy that calls out = creep that harasses.

And women go around wondering why "men don't understand and it's so hard to teach them..?" maybe try being a little honest and consistent for starters?
