The Misquoted Quran

hpqp says...

>> ^chilaxe:

The video doesn't really explain itself, and neither does the videosift description, so this is my understanding of the video's argument:
1. Muslims use this peaceful quote as a defense of the Koran.
2. The Koran does indeed contain that quote, ch. 5 verse 32, but the next verse, 33, doesn't extend that niceness to people 'who wage war against Allah and make mischief in the land,' calling for their execution.
That seems like a fair point, and Muslims should definitely be forthcoming about it instead of getting defensive, but verse 33 doesn't actually seem to me to be bad at all if you interpret it the right way.

(The full verses can be read in multiple translations at the link provided in the videosift description: http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/crcc/engagement
/resources/texts/muslim/quran/005.qmt.html )

No, verse 33 is terrible in and of itself. What is "spreading corruption"? Being of the wrong religion (or, worse, of none), for example? Being gay, or an "adulteress" woman? The list goes on.

TYT: US Tax Dollars Fund Pedophilia - WikiLeaks

Yeah, it's a terrible story, one of millions. Doesn't change the fact Assange is a narcissistic America-hating a$$hole who released classified info which endangered American lives and the lives of our allies. He should be liquidated (assassinated) as an enemy spy for his attacks on the USA.
Among the criminal laws apparently broken by Assange is 18 U.S.C. 793(e), which provides:
"Whoever having unauthorized possession of, access to, or control over any document, writing, code book, signal book, sketch, photograph, (etc. etc.) relating to the national defense, ... (which) the possessor has reason to believe could be used to the injury of the United States or to the advantage of any foreign nation, willfully communicates (etc. etc) the same to any person not entitled to receive it, or willfully retains the same (etc) ...
"Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both."
and
18 USC 641: any person who "receives" or "retains" a "thing of value of the United States" knowing "it to have been embezzled, stolen, purloined or converted" is also guilty of a felony, punishable by up to ten years in prison.
Classified information is valuable government property.

You're a pathetic hypocrite. You claim foreigners aren't protected by US laws (ie: it's not illegal to torture and imprison Arabs), but you now want to charge an Australian with violation of US laws.

Do you ever think about these things before you write them?

ASSange may be the only White Guy NOT to be labeled a racist by the left, even though he has endangered people of all races to satisfy his hate-America narcissism.

Why I hate Christian videos

bareboards2 says...

Here's another math thing that my brother, WHO HAS A MASTERS DEGREE IN AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING, said to me recently....

Background: He's Mormon. Mormons believe that God has a physical body (like Pagans, but I didn't tell him that.) Man is made in the image of God and will be reconstituted into his physical body eventually.

Okay.

Fibonnoci sequence. 1 + 1= 2. 1+2=3. 2+3=5.

My bro said this "only works in base ten" and wiggled his fingers at me. As if this proved that God indeed made the universe and Man is the most important being in it.

Just shoot me.

USC. Masters Degree. Pilot in the Air Force for years. Smart guy.

Just shoot me.

Remember this video when some TSA guy is fondling your junk

joedirt says...

fck off you idiot. The Constitution guarantees your right to interstate commerce. And in fact, there is USC explicitly enumerating your right to travel and access to air travel. (Imagine if they said blacks could fly, it is a privilege after all, not a right... as you say)

You really are stupid.

Also this isn't like "driving" because you are a passenger. Yes, having a pilot's license is a "privilege" not a right... just like having a state issue you a license to drive. Get a fucking clue moron.... Way to carry water for some Orwellian/fascist nonsense.
