The Thing prequel (2011) trailer

JiggaJonson says...

The thing I love about old special effects/makeup is that for all the hangups they probably had in development, it always ALWAYS looked like something you could actually reach out and touch. By contrast, the cartoon-land CG bullshit they pour on nowadays continues to ruin one film after another for me.

Non-CG:
GAH IT'S COMING RIGHT FOR US!!!

CG:
Wait, am I watching Toy Story or Star Wars? I forgot.

"Brave" - First trailer - Pixar/Disney

mas8705 says...

Didn't Pixar once say something about not trying to make hair over elaborate?
(based off of Sulley from Monsters Inc)

Don't get me wrong, the design of the character is probably the most unique human design to come out of Pixar Studios (the only other ones being from Toy story and The Incredibles) but I couldn't seem to pay attention to the character due to her hair...

It is all over the place!

Speaking of Mexican food... if you're ever in the Bay Area check out El Farolito's nachos: http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQKawJNdeUpdZq9Qa4W8h7W15lgAeH6gujt8-_vTvar0wK7QB34-A

they are an amazing heart attack of $5.75 goodness.

Or even the Carne Asada super quesadilla (ask for pickled jalapenos)

And yes this girl really gets my nerves - she is like the female (butch) version of Buzz from Toy Story except not as real. Ouch!

I almost thought she was going to be cool this time since she was going to be making tacos... SOFT... tacos... (here's another food porn pic - real tacos http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4alP-GsbfSI/TL0sRpg35TI/AAAAAAAAAzc/pvSxI9FZLzI/s1600/Taco+at+El+Farolito.JPG)

I was all ready to come in here and say that Toy Story 3 was great and all, but a 4th film; please Hollywood STOP, just stop.

Now I'm waiting for this version to be released.

Touché, good sir. Though not much of a studio if all they do is shorts, no?

That's because they don't have any.

I feel the need to point out that 2011 - 1995 = 16 years of movies, not 25.

Pixar was founded in 1986. 2011 - 1986 = 25 years. This video fails to include any of their work before Toy Story.

"Luxo Jr. is the first film produced in 1986 by Pixar Animation Studios, following its establishment as an independent film studio. It is a computer-animated short film (two and a half minutes, including credits), demonstrating the kind of things the newly-established company was capable of producing. It was the first Pixar short to release within a Pixar film." - Source

Still think killing the toys in the last scene of Toy Story 3 would have been the greatest movie ending of all time. My heart was pounding away, hands clenched, eyes unblinking, if they had let them die, I probably would have died from sensory overload but it would have been awesome.

As for Pixar, the only studio ever that when they announce a sequel, I don't have the slightest worry or concern.
