personally, the idea that I could end up killing someone quickly replaced my health concerns. if found someone died because wasn't wearing a mask - would kill me.

I take responsibility for my actions. If their fate was mine, I would be eternally grateful I was treated so much better than I would have treated them if the tables were turned. The Geneva convention we know today was ratified in 1949. The accords of 1929 were found to be totally insufficient to protect POWs, civilians, infrastructure, etc. Yes, Germany did appear violate it's vague provisions....so did the allies. That's why it was strengthened in 49.

Articles 20, 21, 22, and 23 states that officers and persons of equivalent status who are prisoners of war shall be treated with the regard due their rank and age and provide more details on what that treatment should be.

Articles 27 to 34 covers labour by prisoners of war. Work must fit the rank and health of the prisoners. The work must not be war-related and must be safe work. ("Safe" and "war related" being intentionally vague and unenforceable).

I'm happy to say that anything done to a Nazi soldier is ethical, age notwithstanding. Many Nazi youth were more zealous and violent than their adult counterparts. I actually live in one of those small communities, the nearest town with a population over 1000 is the largest in California without a police department, Mckinleyville. Eureka police actually train to deescalate and follow that training mostly, but we still have incidents, and much worse we still have cops covering for each other, shielding criminal cops behind a blue wall of silence and lies. We don't have good apples turning them in and handing over hidden evidence.

I was 18+or- when I used a restroom at a local town park and found a $50 bill on the floor next to the toilet. I was the only one in there. As I walked out and got about halfway to my car a man walked over to me who saw me just leave the restroom. He asked me if found a $50 dollar bill in the restroom and I told him "no". He went on his way to the restroom and I got back in my car and left.

It bothered me afterward to a point that when I see a homeless person I give them no less than $20 even if they don't ask for it. I feel as though the first $50 I gave away was paid back in a way because it wasn't mine. I continue to give to the homeless at times because I feel like I'm paying for my dishonesty that day. I'm still not sure how much longer it will take before I forgive myself.

I'm usually the biggest cynic in the room, so I couldn't exactly deny your theory, but I am incredibly glad civil adults did get the reigns of the country back, and that America did end up deciding black lives do matter, at least a little bit when our noses are rubbed in our murderous racism.
