In what universe is that not saying much? If the contest is between them two, and possibly your other favourite did not get through the semi-final or maybe you dont care, is it not important that the better man (or person) wins? My brain hurts.

When I watched this the other night, I stood up, clapped, and cheered, and I was watching all by myself. Quite thrilling to watch.

Granted, this is just a semi-final round, but I'm pretty certain there's never been a female to complete the first stage in America nor Japan.

I had a similar fist-to-the-sky cheering moment in the previous semi-final round where Kevin Bull was used his legs to hang from a ball and stick his upside-down landing.

The American version is getting really great, though I still vastly prefer the Japanese version.

Is that just a bad attempt at humour? Germany have won the world cup 3 times and been in the semi finals 13 out of 19 times.

And Brazil always looked vulnerable. If Neymar and co had been playing they would still have lost, just maybe not by as much.

Just noticed the "1/2 final" in the top right of the screen. Why can't they just write "semi-final" which is what it actually is? The fraction "1/2" isn't referred to as a "semi" in the U.S. is it? ;-)

I should warn you, the kia'ing(all that shouting they do) might get a bit annoying after a while(along with people near the camera feeling the need to shout out aswell)

A few bits of info about some of the martial artists:

4 - Craig Hennigsen - If you watch AGT, he's part of the sideswipe team that got to the semi finals, maybe even the finals, not too sure whe they got to(he was the one who injured his ankle in the previous series)

Yep he never really recovered from that one. It also paved the way for Canada to win the gold as they faced Belarus in the semi-final.
