TOP 10 OMGWTF moments from video games
Unbelievable, they always end these lists with Mario or some other side scroller. It's past time to let go of the nostalgia already. Or, include it in the list, but don't feel obliged to always put it at the top out of loyalty, said nostalgia, credit, or whatever other useless notion.
Anyway, number one should've been the recent Limbo of the Lost controversy. But then, I guess that wasn't a moment as much as an entire game full of back to back moments.
The 49 Best Sequel-Less Games (Videogames Talk Post)

They missed that incredibly great game from the early 90s called "way out" or "out there" or something like that.
The one where the guy is transported to a parallel world and befriends an ape that helps him on his journey. Kind of a side-scroller, but with a lot of style and fun.
Are you thinking of "Out of This World"? (aka "Another World") That game did have a sequel: Heart of the Alien, for the Sega CD.
"3- Beyond Good & Evil: Now getting a sequel. Busted off the list."
That was announced May 2008, about a year after this article was written, I suspect.

Most Impossible Segment from a Video Game Ever: Battletoads
I watched this on another site. It doesn't look nearly as hard as some of the overhead-scroller Japanese airplane/spacecraft games.
NBC's 'Life' investigates Prince of Persia
As a gamer, I am horribly offended from this... First off Prince of Persia was a great series first off... But besides that, no games today besides games seen in side scrollers or xbox arcade actually say "You Win, Advance to Level __" or anything that comes close to that... next it is obvious that they were just try to get though it quickly without actually paying attention to any details of the game rather than a princess in need of rescue... If they wanted it to be more like the game, we would have seen a bit of The Sand of Time in action during the continuous "You died" montage... Lastly, it would seem to stupid that once you get to a certain stage, you get a database, when most games don't even go as far as a game programmer...
Then again, I don't know this episode, or its full details... But this is horrible stereotyping of video game and I take offense to this... But why I'm upvoting it though, I have no idea..
"Gnarly" A sweet freeware 2D skate game.
Scroller? Meh, 720 was brilliant. Go C64!
How It's Made - Video Games
Yeah, Sands of Times was fun. Don't forget the old school 2D scroller. Fun too!
Al-Qaeda Also Fed Up With Ground Zero Construction Delays
I up-voted this ONLY because no one seems to realise this is fake. Did anyone read the scroller at the bottom of the page?
Daily Show: Valerie Plame as Pulp Fiction Film Noir
Is that bit on the CNN-scroller real?
