Poor co-driver, I have trouble reading a map on the motorway without getting carsick, I imagine doing it at 70mph on a dirt track is somewhat more difficult.


The Co drivers often list the corners so its not like map reading where you have to work things out , the art is in paying atentoin to all the corners and details (depending on the rally co drivers get to do a couple of runs of the track ) , and then being able to pace them and paint a good and acuret image of the road ahead to the driver with only a cuple of commands.

These guys have LOTS of practice a much more expensive car than a stock WRX

I've tried going balls out in my WRX on some dirt and gravel roads up in the mountains on the way to a hike or a river or whatever and it just doesn't work. I don't know how these guys do it. Anything over 30 mph or so is nearly a death wish for me.

It's definatly *long, but isn't there also some *comedy gold in there? I was laughing my ass off at some of these "accidents". And how about some *eia for stuff like 9:02? Can't be healthy ...

It is not his job to help.

The driver is a professional risk taker. The photographer is a professional photo taker. He is obviously a very good photographer... right up to the point where he stops doing his job to go and needlessly help some guy out of a car.

I repeat: this wasn't an accident, this was all part of the job for all concerned. Please people, you love the photos, so let the photographers do their job.
