THE MASTER -- She wrote me a letter
I like the teaser where he recites some of his poetry:
I love you, you love me.
Goin' down the sugar tree.
We'll go down the sugar tree,
and see lots of bees:
playing, playing.
But the bees won't sting,
because you love me.
Gets me every time.
Oh wait, I may be thinking of another PT Anderson.
The Master -- Full Theatrical Trailer
Two of my favorite film makers are PT Anderson and Wes Anderson. The two things they have in common in my mind, aside from the surname, are far-out films, and every few years they release around the same time. I'm certain it's the same genius, and he's been pulling one over on all of us this whole time.
The Master -- New PT Anderson movie!
No but he did screen it for him and apparently he didn't like it heh.

It's about time L. Ron Hubbard got some scrutiny from Hollywood. I wonder if Tom Cruise was approached for this role? <snicker, snicker>
SKYFALL - Official Teaser Trailer
This is an excellent example of a good trailer: gives the tone, piques one's curiosity, but gives away nothing. Another good example on the sift right now is this one.

The Master -- New PT Anderson movie!
>> ^kymbos:
Where's he been for the past five years?
Working on various projects. I believe he was trying to get this made for something like a couple of years before it actually happened. You would think that being PT Anderson would get you an automatic greenlight to make whatever you want, but bafflingly enough, it does not. Clearly, something is very, very wrong in Hollywood. If it weren't for Megan Ellison, it's possible that this movie would have never gotten made.

Videosift Lost and Found. (Sift Talk Post)
1) The "Well, jackass, that's good for Happy GilmOH-MY-GOD!" part from Happy Gilmore.
2) The Dirk Diggler Story (the short film that PT Anderson made as a teen, which later formed the basis for Boogie Nights).
3) The Little Women sketch from SNL with Chris Farley going apeshit in the icy water.
4) A Daily Show segment in which the correspondent (I can't remember which one) talks about movies with chimps in them and makes them seem sinister, somehow. I remember they showed a clip from Dunston Checks In, along with a few other chimp movies. All searches at the Daily Show website have been fruitless, unfortunately.
There are a few others which have also eluded me, but those are the only ones that come to mind at the moment.
Best Of Quentin Tarantino Montage
Since I have no shame, I'm going to point out that this PT Anderson tribute was edited by the same guy who did this one.

I just checked out the website listed in the video: http://ptanderson.com/. You should have a look! If you do decide to take advantage of their offer, please send me some: I don't smoke, but think highly enough of PT Anderson that I'd like to support him if he really needs the cash that much.
In reply to this comment by Sarzy:
I certainly do! If I had known this wasn't on here already I would have sifted it myself. Good stuff.
Aimee Mann - Wise Up {live}
Actually, fissionchips, it just seems that way because the songs fit so perfectly with the movie. PT Anderson has actually said that listening to Mann's songs is where a lot of the inspiration for Magnolia came from, and he even used a line from one of the songs as a line of dialogue in the film.
British TV spot for There Will Be Blood
As obsessed as I am with TWBB, I was even more obsessed with Punch-Drunk Love, if you can believe it. I saw that one seven times theatrically. It's still my favourite PT Anderson film, and easily one of my favourite films ever.
Michael Phillips reviews There Will Be Blood
It is almost obscenely great. I haven't been this obsessed with a film since... well, Punch Drunk Love (I love PT Anderson). If it's playing in a theatre near where you live you absolutely must go see it.
