Makes me want to keep Sentry Mode on, but I'm always worried it's going to drain my battery...

Forgive my lapse into Hall Monitor mode, but the person in front was trying to *hold* their phone on a ride where there are going to be high speed rapid direction changes of several g's? That person is dangerously stupid.

A lot of the newer videos seem to be moving away from Youtube, over to things like instagram and twitter. Sadly VS doesn't support either of those as embeds, so I have to look around on what it does support. That means my pool is limited to stuff like YT, Dailymotion, and Facebook.

I'm trying to post stuff that everyone can see, but it can be hard. I'm not upset at you, I would be in rant mode myself if the majority of videos were not showing up for me. Maybe you can post and see if one of site designers can update the code to support more embeds like Instagram and Twitter (and liveleak again, something broke when they changed their site)?

Anyway, hopefully I can get stuff up you can watch. I am always looking now to see if one of the videos I post has a sister video on YT, that way it has a better shot of being visible.

Sentry Mode adds a unique layer of protection to Tesla vehicles by continuously monitoring the environment around a car when it’s left unattended. When enabled, Sentry Mode enters a “Standby” state, like many home alarm systems, which uses the car’s external cameras to detect potential threats. If a minimal threat is detected, such as someone leaning on a car, Sentry Mode switches to an “Alert” state and displays a message on the touchscreen warning that its cameras are recording. If a more severe threat is detected, such as someone breaking a window, Sentry Mode switches to an “Alarm” state, which activates the car alarm, increases the brightness of the center display, and plays music at maximum volume from the car’s audio system.

If a car switches to “Alarm” state, owners will also receive an alert from their Tesla mobile app notifying them that an incident has occurred. They’ll be able to download a video recording of an incident (which begins 10 minutes prior to the time a threat was detected) by inserting a formatted USB drive into their car before they enable Sentry Mode.

Isn't that just a car alarm. I don't get it. Is sentry mode somehow different than a typical car alarm?

Teslas are pretty much invincible in Dog Mode with the Rise of the Triad of electric drive, AI and good PR.

You're absolutely right and given the number of assignments I marked as a TA I am currently hanging my head in shame and embarrassment. At least I didn't say mode.

I'd be interesting if you could take a smart car on those paths. Maybe have a mode that would limit it to 20 miles in a hour and some sort of external light showing that you are in that mode.

FYI a smart car weighs around 1900lbs vs a golf cart at 1000 lbs.

this is pretty much bang on. there are several versions of a "special turntable" which are just controllers. you can use all in one controller set ups, CDJs/XDJs in HID mode, or rane's 12 turntable, which is just a stand alone controller for DVS. all in one controllers are geared more toward bedroom and wedding DJs, the rane 12 is pretty boutique and for turntablist/party rock DJs, and CDJs/XDJs are what everyone else uses and are industry standard and in every club/rave/festival/tech rider. there is also a growing move back to vinyl in certain scenes, especially techno and jungle/choppage/breakbeat hardcore scenes.

Forget elevators, the videos of escalator failures are terrifying.

You expect to laugh at the out of order escalator sign because oh no, now they are normal stairways, then the reality is that catastrophic escalator failure is human cheese grater mode..

I targeted the lion, clicked on my mesmerize spell, then started to type: "I'm mesmerizing the lion for you." I got as far as: "I'm " when I remembered that I had replaced my mesmerize spell with an Area of Effect mesmerize spell... and that I was standing next to an NPC enchantress. Gulp.

My movement keys are mapped to "w a s d" so I frantically stabbed at my keyboard, trying to MOVE and interrupt the spell.

The gypsy enchantress didn't like my attempt to mezz her so she promptly charmed me [IE Mind control] and made me go after the gnome I had been trying to save. I watched in horror as my peace-loving character, knife flailing like a crazed sushi chef, chased the little guy down and stabbed him to death.

I found my victim later and apologized profusely... I even gave him a nice weapon and a piece of armor. He was great about it, and laughed when I told him what happened.

He said he didn't know WHAT was going on. One minute he was fighting a lion, the next minute a strange gnome appeared out of NOWHERE, announced: "I'm wwwaaaddd", then sliced him up like Freddy Krueger.

All you mention are a far cry from sustained hypersonic powered atmospheric flight, which is what we're talking about here.

You mentioned a ramjet, but scramjet engines are hardly an incremental improvement, they're an entirely different class of jet engine. Ramjet engines only do around mach 2.5- 5, scramjets 4-8+ theoretically. What's needed for a viable weapon imo is the next iteration of dual mode ramjets that can do both with one engine, that's a long way off. Public scramjet engine tests have only been successful in a few short 5 second+- burns so far, launched with conventional solid rockets.
