I see potential for a FPS style firefighter game...

You know, that actually could be pretty good.

It's been done on a number of occasions.
First there was the arcade game "Brave Firefighters" from 1999:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2RdoLgO388
It was sorta ported/updated to Wii almost 10 years later as "Real Heroes Firefighter":
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXRQVFDWxFw&feature=related
There are also a number of "Serious" games (simulations for training people) that tackle firefighting as a profession.
"Firefighting Training Simulation":

17997-Firefighter-Training-Simulation/index.html
"Firefighting the REVAS process":

imulation/
To name a few.

All neat and well but no crysis backdraft firefighter explosions towering inferno bam bam game...

Europe: Lost Without Christianity

bamdrew says...

Agreed; Dante's "Inferno" and the expressiveness of the Old Testament and Apocrypha in general no doubt have inspired reams of artistic works. I suppose my point was we often don't think of the day-to-day lives of celebrated old artists... and how a church/state commissioned 'Lamentation of Christ' alter piece that is now seen as a masterwork was at one time seen as a safe bet to generate some income, which could fund experimentation with capturing more personal themes and illustration of the natural world.

(I should say "may have been seen as a safe bet to generate some income", as this is my own impression)

>> ^ChaosEngine:

>> Undoubtedly true, but at the same time I think it would be wrong to say that none of the artists involved in creating great works were not genuinely inspired by their faith. I don't just mean the likes of the Sistine Chapel either, but lots of smaller non-commissioned work.
Although you could argue that that is art inspired by faith rather than religion.

Molten metal dripping from WTC2 moments before collapse

Yogi jokingly says...

Wait... the building that collapsed after a plane crashed into it, and had an inferno raging for almost 2 hours, had some molten metal dripping out?? WHY I NEVER....

Not quite. Most of the fire was smoldering and oxygen deprived with dark smoke, not quite an raging inferno. And WTC2 only stood for 56 minutes after being hit. At 9:03am, it was hit; at 9:59am, you can see hundreds of thousand tons of concrete and steel beams being thrown like confetti several hundred meters to the sides and up in an arch - as the tower is being pulverized.

So what you're saying is...it's a conspiracy.

ok, calm down.

<rebuttal> i know its his job, and i know thats how websites make money. i wasn't commenting on the fact that there was a commercial on the internet. everyone knows people don't like loading time on videos, or should know it at least. if a company wants to put a commercial before a video, they should make it so the video doesn't take a very long time to load. THAT was my problem. i actually think its very convenient to have a commercial while the video is loading. gives me something to watch while i wait for my video. but if i have to wait for THAT video to load as well, there's something inherently wrong. the commercial shouldn't have to freeze every 2 seconds while it loads. thats the sort of thing that makes me not want to watch their commercial and (god forbid) DO SOMETHING ELSE ON THE INTERNET. (sarcasm-mode offOMGDOYOUSEEWHATIDIDTHERE????) that seems like bad advertising to me. </rebuttal>

that is the answer i'm giving you and if you should wish to keep arguing about such a silly topic as someone complaining about commercials on the internet and namecalling you will be promptly ignored

It's great that Yahtzee can just put videos on the internet and just have them make money without having any sponsors or advertisers. It's even better that his videos can be reposted anywhere on the internet without advertisements, so that way his parent company makes money by having fewer page views.

Thank you,
People who actually understand Yahtzee isn't doing this stuff for kicks on youtube anymore, actually does this as a job and makes money. Money that his employers get from their advertisers. Is all of this getting through to you? Maybe you should pirate his stuff, since sitting through a commercial (or god forbid doing something else while it plays) is obviously too much time wasted while you're - what was it? - wasting time on the internet.
