"and what sort of car is the box supposed to be anyway when it's a Suburu with a Ford logo on the front!?!?"

Err, a Ford Fiesta.

Drat it! I plagiarised that sentiment from comments from across the pond - and they probably don't know what a Fiesta looks like... Hmm... now I have to go and compare more carefully myself!

How to make a Ford Fiesta -- in 86 seconds!

artician says...

Um. I think the use of *Timeshift (fuck you siftbot) invalidates their suggested time for assembly.
Even if it's fact that they can assemble an entire Fiesta in 86 seconds, it completely sidesteps the more important question of: Why would you want to?

Worlds best selling small car?

You mean the Toyota Corolla (40 million)? Or if that's not small enough, maybe you mean the VW Beetle (21 million)?

Fiesta isn't even the best selling Ford.

My mom used to have a Fiesta; I learnt to drive in it. Awful car.

still upvote for the engineering in building it....

KEN BLOCK'S GYMKHANA SIX

sixshot says...

While interesting, I liked his San Fran tour better.

What I find funny is that he uses a Ford Fiesta and its backside says "Powered by Ford EcoBoost". So... what part of that car is economically friendly when he's burning all that gas and rubber?

The Best DJ in the World...wait for it

chingalera says...

Ok-If you look closely, there's a black unit sticking-out from the right side of the back of the unconnected mixer-Looks like he's got that un-plugged mixer blocking the one he's using. I think yer right.
Why would anyone fake being a party DJ atta Mexican fiesta??

Oh and, DJ's react to the music while they tweak it....it's part of their cult-of-personality thingy tied into the whole performance aspect of making 'new' music. Dubstep DJ's for example, consider themselves artists and performers. They usually have egos large enough so that they don't have to wait for fans or critiques to suggest or ascertain this either....lotta douchebag in the DJ industry.

I'm wondering if what he's messing around with is possibly in front of the unit that has no wires going to it. There are some wires on the right hand side of it between it and the laptop like device that one of them seems to go to, the other I can't tell, either goes to a microphone of a block to the side. The angle makes it hard to tell for sure, either way it looks like he's more reacting to the music than controlling it.

Testing a Uranium-glazed Fiesta plate for radioactivity

>> ^ghark:
a regular chest xray would expose you to 0.06 mSv while a helical CT scan of the chest would expose you to 8 mSV - thirten hundred and thirty three times as much radiation (although the effective dose only ends up being about one hundred times as much).
If you mean the same thing with "mSv" both times (and not jumping between milli and micro or anything like that), then you're off by a factor of 10. 8 / 0.06 = 133.333333, not 1333 like you said. And if the effective dose follows the same pattern, then the CT scan would be about 10 times as much as the x-ray, though I don't know anything about that part.
