Leftists Will Carry Out Targeted Killings Of Republicans

newtboy says...

Sadlly I think you are correct, they have zero capacity to filter bullshit from their talking heads, and zero capacity to refrain from calling anything contradicting their most outrageous fever dreams "bullshit", facts be damned, logic be damned, history be damned, and you better believe Latinos be damned.
Like their chosen president, comprehension is not their strong suit...knowing stuff and actual facts are for liberals, and there's no such thing as an independent. That's where we are.

Drachen_Jager said:

I know those who listen to people like this have lost all sense of logic and capacity for independent thought, but if you listen closely he TELLS you he's bullshitting.

"They WILL carry out targeted killings of Republicans. IF that happens....."

On the one hand, he's saying he knows for absolute certain something WILL happen, but in the next breath he says "IF" not "When".

Homeopathy Explained – Gentle Healing or Reckless Fraud?

notarobot says...

For a while in history, there have been some doctors who would suggest treating a fever with an icy bath. You know, to bring the fever down. What we know now is that raising the body's temperature actually helps the immune system fight off infections. So, if someone has a fever treating the symptom (hot) with the opposite (cold) is usually terrible idea.

What do we do at home when we have a fever? Warm soup or tea. This makes it easier for the body to keep its temperature up. Treating like with like.

Is there some example of where "treat like with like" is useful and insightful? I mean, all I can think of is immunotherapy for allergies.

Vox: Why America still uses Fahrenheit

entr0py says...

For everyday use Fahrenheit seems pretty handy. 100 °F is dangerously hot, 0 °F is dangerously cold, you know you have to take extra care if it gets out of that range. And a body temperature of 100 °F is the start of having a fever.

The only number you need to remember is that water freezes at 32 °F. I doubt you'd ever need to know the boiling point of water to cook.

Plus the much smaller increments are nice. °C is good if you're a sciency type and need to convert from Kelvin, but otherwise I don't see many advantages.

I Love The Nightlife - Alicia Bridges

oh god this song was part of the years-long fever dream disco medley soundtrack that ran from 1975-1980.

I'm glad The Clash and The Pretenders came along when they did, even The Knack was a welcome relief.

Hillary Clinton appears to faint stumble during 911 Memorial

Payback says...

Bob thinks pneumonia = hemorrhagic fever...

Dude, it's an inflammation of the lungs caused by something else, like the flu or a cold. She just didn't take care of herself and suffers from no small amount of stress.

It's serious, for her, but you can't "catch" pneumonia.

09 11 2016 Hillary Clinton collapses / faints, literally dr

Payback says...

It's pneumonia, not tuberculosis or hemorrhagic fever, Bob.

It's an inflammation of the lungs, not a disease in and of itself. The underlying cause could be as simple as the flu or a cold.

Octopi, Platypi, Walri, Oh My!

Payback says...

IKR! Far better to believe one thing someone dying of dysentery thought up in a fever dream and defend it to the death.

Brothers Convince Little Sister of Zombie Apocalypse

gorillaman says...

When I was about six I caught some sort of hallucinatory fever that convinced me evil vines and creepers were taking over everything and we had to evacuate the planet.

My mother was trying to get me to sleep it off and I kept screaming at her "You don't understand, we have to get to NASA! The plants are coming!"

Let's Compare ( Classic Pac-Man )

Phreezdryd says...

I had some nostalgia fever recently and ran across these "Let's Compare" videos a day before seeing your Pac-Man homebrew submission, so I had to post this.

Had you not seen that channel before? Between YouTube and emulators it's fun to revisit the old favourites, and the ones you may have missed. Can you guess which company I was a fan of way back when?

Almost forgot to mention I had that Pac-Man table top game they show at the end.

newtboy jokingly says...

Well, not for your children anyway.
A big ant would have been great for me as a kid, I was deathly allergic to them, and would have loved to smash a giant one in revenge for all the high fevers and swollenness they have so graciously provided me.
