You guys don't seem to understand where I'm coming from. I'm in basic research, so I don't really worry about my bedside manner. At our current stage of understanding, being able to do something as relatively benign as taking an ambien and having results that profound is about the best you could hope for. Substances like that effect incredibly complicated systems that aren't well understood. I suppose it's possible there might be some direct electrical stimulation that might work, but if I were that guy, I'd rather take a pill. I mean, seriously, what more do you want than a pill that solves your problem? A better pill? We'll get right on that. The kids at Dana Farber will just have to wait.

trickle down economics=proven failure.
the top 2% have NOT created new jobs and when given tax breaks they:
1.do not spend that extra cash but rather invest..in OTHER countries AND focus their immense wealth to further lobby legislation to promote their own self-interest (be they a corporation or private person).
2.the stimulus was not meant to create jobs but rather stabilize our consumer based economy in the form of credit lines remaining open and while the debate may be if it was too small or too big there is no debate if it worked..it did.

i really have a problem with shows like this and we are inundated with them.on the surface it appears to be attempting to understand complex topics and discuss possible reasons and solutions but all the public gets are people regurgitating talking points and rhetoric and nothing gets accomplished.

maybe... for some i guess, but at the end of the show viewers are still ignorant to the reality of the situation.
this woman dana even tried to promote a false narrative using historical context and even the context she tried to use was propaganda!
but if you didnt KNOW the history she may have sounded reasonable and authoritive and you may have been swayed to accept her premise.
this is the place most americans find themselves.giving authority to a person just because they may be on TV and speak in a confident manner,even though the information they are using is patently false.


ignorance is curable but not with shows such as this.
shows like this only serve to keep people ignorant and they seem to only be getting more popular.

WEC is good cause their fights are more technical .

Lighter weight classes means a smaller portion are heavy handed.

Carlos Condit is on this card too. He's was a WEC badass that switched to UFC cause he's REEALLY good at beatin' people up.

Tho yeah, the only unorthodox fighters in the UFC are Lyoto Machida and Anderson Silva really.

Oh well, UFC became all about the revenue as soon as Dana White took over.

According to statistics from the FBI and Arizona police agencies, crime in Arizona border towns has been “essentially flat for the past decade.” For example, “In 2000, there were 23 rapes, robberies and murders in Nogales, Ariz. Last year, despite nearly a decade of population growth, there were 19 such crimes.” The Pima County sheriff reported that “the border has never been more secure.”

FBI statistics show violent crime rates in all of the border states are lower than they were a decade ago — yet Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) reports that the violence is “the worst I have ever seen.” President Obama justifiably asserted last week that “the southern border is more secure today than any time in the past 20 years,” yet Rush Limbaugh judged the president to be “fit for the psycho ward” on the basis of that remark.

Next, there’s Brewer’s claim that “the majority” of people immigrating illegally “are coming here and they’re bringing drugs, and they’re doing drop houses and they’re extorting people and they’re terrorizing the families. That is the truth.”

No, it isn’t. The Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector has apprehended more than 170,000 undocumented immigrants since Oct. 1, but only about 1,100 drug prosecutions have been filed in Arizona in that time.

The claim that illegal immigrants are behind most killings of law-enforcement personnel is also bunk. Arizona state Sen. Sylvia Allen claimed that “in the last few years 80 percent of our law enforcement that have been killed or wounded have been by an illegal.” A Phoenix police spokesman told the Arizona Republic’s E.J. Montini that the real figure for killings is less than 25 percent, and that there are no statistics on wounded officers.

So what is this “terrible border security crisis” that Brewer says has only “gotten worse”? She complained recently to Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren about the Obama administration’s handling of the border: “They haven’t did [sic] their job.”
