What We Left Behind: Looking Back At Star Trek: DS9 Trailer
DS9 will always be my favorite Trek series!
Bortus Lays An Egg | S1E2 | THE ORVILLE
What is this? A DS9/Babalon5/Space Quest comedy crossover?

I wasn't much of a DS9 fan but I love this episode for the audacity. They did a great job at editing this in. An editor's master class for sure.
Star Trek's Tim Russ Explains Star Wars Day | by Pocketwatch
I'm a fan of both franchises. Hard to pick which is better; I tend to think that the peaks of Wars beat the peaks of Trek -- but not by much. The lowpoints of both are pretty awful. And Trek has the edge in sheer volume of at-par or better quality entertainment, even though I've only watched TOS, TNG, some of DS9, and the movies.
So to me acting like Wars fans vs Trekkies are like oil and water doesn't ring true, but it's still a funny video.
Thanks for the sift!
Best space battles from the Stargate TV series
an amazing franchise, except for Universe. loved it.
space battle wise, ds9 won. but not by too much. ds9 had 3 to 4 times the average budget per episode any episode in this franchise did.
the sg-1 movie "Ark of Truth" had a 7 million dollar budget. That was about on par for one single episode of ds9. the sfx people at sg-1 in Vancouver did an amazing job for this show, Atlantis and I guess Universe. Still, I hated Universe.

Trials And Tribble-ations Uniting Two Legends

I remember this episode very well.
I liked it.
I remember my Trekk(er/ie) friend recorded this episode onto a VHS tape and brought it over to watch in my suite mate's dorm(itory) room with his CRT TV. It was awesome! I watched it again a few years ago. It was still a very good episode even though I wasn't a DS9 fan.
DS9 was dreak (IMHO).
But I did really like the interactions between the characters of Odo and Quark.
I just like Odo's physical transformations.

Childhood Sale, One Man Selling His Huge Comic Collection
I'm a collector as well - right now I still have 5-600 (may be an over-exaggeration) star wars figs still in package and tons more out of package. Everyone who knows me always asks about value, what are they worth? I can't even put a price on them because I don't care - I like'em and I'm not selling. I collect because I like the stuff. Not so I can walk around and say, "my stuff is worth a lot, that's why I collect it".
I have comics & trading cards. I have the full complete set of the Dark Crystal trading cards - I don't care what they are worth - I like em! Star Wars, Marvel, Boris, Olivia, fantasy, baseball trading cards 1000s of them...
On that same note, stuff I have sold.
My full complete collections of Star Trek figures (plus DS9 figs) - gone
My full collection of X-men/X-force figures - gone
My full and complete set of Bat Man- animated series figs - gone
Full and complete set of vintage star wars figures (half still in packages)
My full and complete set of Tod McFarland Spawn/Wet Works/YoungBlood action figures (plus rare and limited release figs)
Robocop
TMNT
Robotec
Black Hole
Battlestar Galactica
Buck Rogers (from the TV series)
D&D lead figures
so much more...
I regret ever having to sell the stuff - there was a time with my first child when I had to choose between toys or formula & diapers. I made the right choice but I wish I had found a different way to come up with the cash. Especially now that I have two kids who would have loved to have that stuff.
I've replaced some of the vintage star wars stuff and I have tone of the new star wars figs from the past 15 years. I also have an almost complete set of Aliens vs. predator figs (minus the loader - I sold that off as well)
STAR TREK 40th Anniversary Tribute

Commander Worf is beautiful
I never felt bad for Worf. The man had sex with almost every hot chick on TNG and DS9.
The double love handle chop
Btw, I love star trek. DS9 is my favourite, but i wont dismiss the other series, i'll watch them all.. for I am nerd
Sgt. asks Mila Kunis on a date.
But she put DS9 behind Voyager... that is as bad as not liking Firefly... I can see debating if Voyager is better than Enterprise or not, but DS9 is clearly in the top 2 Star Treks and the gap between it and Voyager so vast that you need to measure it on a galactic scale. Not that I would say no if she wanted to go out, just would over the years show her how wrong she was.
What happens when you wear 365 days of makeup at one time?
Looks like Odo from DS9.

I don't get what people see in Star Trek.
I don't get what people see in watching professional sports. I get playing sports. I get watching your friend/partner/child playing sports. I just don't understand the allure of watching professional athletes.
As for what people see in Star Trek? It's escapist wish fulfillment, like any fantasy. The idea that our (or our descendants) lives in the future, while still recognizable, will be better than they are now. That we can overcome the petty, backwards, theist-stained bullshit our lives are currently mired in. That was Roddenberry's dream. Everything before most of DS9, and ALL of Voyager, is his vision. A vision shared by thousands (maybe millions?) of people...
