This one is a bizarre music video made out of an 80s Lifetime network show called "Attitudes." Think Spike Jonze's "Buddy Holly" music video for Weezer.

What do you want or what are you giving for Christmas? Gift Ideas Accepted Here (Blog Entry by lucky760)
Hmmm well I have to say that we ordered a 42" lcd tv with Bose surround sound for my dad for his Christmas gift (and birthday gift as well hehe).
I'm getting my mom a...*insert blank stare*...I need ideas! She's just getting into the computer and whole e-mail/skype thing. I have a USB speakerphone for her, a KT Tunstall and Coldplay cd she's been wanting, but I could use another gift.
My best friends are getting some gift certificates to American Eagle or Express.
I have a million spoiled cousins so no worries there...
and myself, well I sorta got this computer with the 5.1 speakers as part of my early gift but my parents won't count it b/c it's used for school (yes I know I'm spoiled). Soo I really have my eyes set and room cleared in this house for a Rod Hockey Table. I grew up playing one at the arcade each week with my dad and I've always been wanting one. Not to mention I'm wishing for new Altama boots, I wear the 14" high Altamas for my EMS duties but need something scaled back for everyday wear.
Grave of Fireflies - AMV Cold Play
Dah! Coldplay haterz. heh.
Honestly I didn't like this movie at all and neither did anyone I watched it with. In general, it was boring and preachy. At the end we all thought "what? that's it?" but I will give you that it was a tear-jerker and very much so.
But, this Cold Play video describes the movie very well. It expresses the sadness of the film with the tragic responsibility of the older brother. It tells of his sacrifice and his failure in protecting his child little sister. He, the only adult, attempts to cover her in every situation, but starvation is not something he can overcome, despite his effort. Anyone with a little sister or a niece can feel what this video is expressing,at least the inevitable need to keep her happy...
Grave of Fireflies - AMV Cold Play
I like some Coldplay, but I don't think their music does the movie justice either. Also, not a fan of AMVs in general, unless they're amazingly well-done.
Grave of Fireflies - AMV Cold Play
for some reason whiny annoying coldplay just doesn't do this movie justice...
Coldplay: "Clocks"
If you like to listen to Coldplay while taking one in the ass and giving a rusty trombone, then you're gay.
...otherwise you just have good taste in music.
You know how I know you're gay?
You like coldplay.
Pug Skydiving? Hell Yeah!
The song is by Coldplay.

ughhhhhhh the oasis/coldplay link lasted 5 seconds for me before i had to nuke it. that first album was only good because they didn't give a fuck and weren't famous. The recordings were great. And rough. As soon as people told them they were good, they became shit. Spent too much money in the studio. singalong robbie williams crap. you are right about limitations being important.
Liam Gallagher is a great vocalist though. And wonderwall's a great song, so long as you were around to hear it when it first came out, and now you don't actually listen to it
oh, and.. er... i don't do green day any more either, it's just too close to coldplay First albums always rule though. Unless you're blur, in which case the difficult second is actually the best.
stop rambling? who said that?

Thanks for the links, will try out some of the artists..:) Hopefully those new Lithuanian guitars will bring original music. Often creativity lies in limitations.
There's a clip featuring Oasis and Coldplay

Would be nice to see more video mash-ups like
Oasis vs Green Day

As far as Wonderwall is concerned: I like the track but it's an overexposed track.

ok i looked it up and i still don't know what you mean or what you are referring to, although MW does say "conspicuously bad" so i guess you mean Coldplay.

lol at your first reply. no lol for amberlife, they're just crap. Coldplay only get deux points from me anyway, so if you are going to copy them, i'm not really going to listen.
i would love to find you some great exciting real band, but i can't. however, economy is on the up, there's a lot of kids walking round town with new guitars on their backs, i guess it will come eventually.
the best live bands i have seen are hiphop and reggae. There's a lot of really good musicians and they all play in each others' bands, oldschool style... but nobody really seems to be innovating anything or putting together a credible mainstream act.
the most innovation is in electronic music which i guess is naturally more futuristic and less retro.
well anyway, i am biased, haven't really been into rock since kurt went and oasis released their "difficult second album" which was shit except for wonderwall
oasis fighting coldplay, bareknuckle style, now THAT i would pay to see.

Bloc Party - Banquet - Giant Hands video
No way, I have no problem being a fan of a band. I'm not really a fan of any contemporary rock bands, that I can think of, but I've been a huge fan of bands in the past, most notably Queensryche, but also Zeppelin, and Hendrix, although they were before my time.
I just meant that I wasn't a fan of those bands in particular. I enjoy a few tracks by Bloc Party and Coldplay, but I couldn't name a member of either band, don't know their albums, etc etc.
I am a HUGE fan of Simon Posford, aka Hallucinogen aka one half of Shpongle. I am a big fan of Shift, a trance producer from South Africa. I'm a HUGE fan of Robert Rich, and I wish that there were better robert rich videos to sift. No, I'm definitely a fanboi, just not for Bloc Party or Coldplay.
In reply to your comment:
why are you against being a fan of bands? you said like the exact same disclaimer before that bloc party video. is because you're a dj? and dj's can't get attached to bands?
