…plummeted because businesses are reeling from the implications of his stated plans (like up to 200% tariffs, and killing the ACA and putting all healthcare costs back on employers and the resulting loss of work) and have started cutting workforces drastically, stopped hiring, and are halting bonuses and promotions so they can afford to buy all of next years stock before Jan 21 when it will cost significantly more. Others are preparing to close because they work in multiple countries, shipping back and forth during production, and tariffs of any size are going to kill their businesses, so better to get out before they’re forced out and broke.

The major economic downturn started Nov 5th. and is accelerating.

I took shots daily for years (early 80s) to get over food and pollen allergies only to move where there’s different pollen, but it’s still better.

Yep, being old sucks…but I’ve found that for the most part it’s a choice, one easily made by ignoring your best options. I have a bad back, and had a paralyzed dog for 7 years. Together they gave me plenty of excuses to stay on the couch far too much. I honestly feel like I’ve reversed 25 years of aging with just some exercise (consistent long dog walking) and eating just slightly better for 18 months. Since I’m bald, I don’t even have gray hair!

I gave it up, got high energy dogs I have to walk 3-5 miles a day, lost 45 lbs, and I’m in better shape than high school now. I recommend dogs.

Stuff we see & buy in the "Big Chain" (of which 3 companies control like 70% of all groceries) supermarkets are 90% the same stuff (and brands) in the USA. If we live slightly longer and healthier, it's probably about moderation. It's crazy looking at the portions we're served at restaurants whenever we're down in the States. And no amount of regulation, or lack thereof, can change that.
