I would, but I don’t have cameras.
Instead, Newt built a fence around his front yard so he doesn’t have to be on guard constantly. (It also helps keep the bears and elk out of my apple trees)
Funny enough, I think my brother may have done this minus the bullhorn.

Yes, duh Bob.
Trump polling at 36% was worse, so you just claimed fake polls. He inherited a strong robust economy, a system to protect from epidemics, far less debt and deficit, and no pandemic…no crisis. I don’t argue Biden’s popular, like you do Trump despite reality, I only argue he’s a vast improvement, the best that could be hoped for under the disastrous circumstances one Trump term put the nation in.

The people coming, largely Haitians, almost all say they’re coming because they saw American politicians say the American borders are open and accepting everyone. Those are Republicans saying that, lying to get their base riled up, but the Haitians living in South America don’t know that, they think they are being invited by the Republicans. Look into it, you’ll see that’s true if you do. Biden sent many back to Haiti, Trump liked to dump them back in Guatemala to try again.
This energy independence myth, just quit. We were not. There was a world wide oil glut in 2020 because the pandemic lowered demand so much suppliers actually gave it away at one point….that was not some genius Trump energy plan bearing fruit, it was the economy and industry collapsing thanks to an avoidable pandemic. As the economy recovers, so does demand but not production. You seem to want to blame Biden for basic economics.
My gas is the same as 2019+-$.25….you want to compare to 2020 because gas was cheap thanks to Covid. Yours might be more for some political reasons, like your unprotected pipeline got hacked by Russians, but you need to prove it, then prove Biden’s failure caused it, not just say it, and not by cutting and pasting some talking head’s opinion. My assessment is he’s improved security on infrastructure but I’m open to evidence to the contrary.

Lowering corporate tax rates didn’t lower unemployment significantly, it raised upper management compensation and corporate profits. Investing in infrastructure will.

That’s good you don’t want to debate more Covid deaths, because there’s more than enough blame for both sides even if you don’t look at 2020 that was all Republican stoked (anti mask, anti social distance, anti contact tracing). Keep in mind, since Jan, >90% of all cases are in the intentionally unvaccinated population, almost 100% of deaths, and remember who they are and who they follow…not Biden. Covid deaths this year are nearly 100% caused by political division and misinformation created and spread by one political side. Guess which. That’s not to say Biden’s perfect, he should have implemented vaccine mandates Jan 21, no exemptions without permanent quarantine, what was needed to stop more deaths by stupidity, but he doesn’t have the balls for dictating. You should be so grateful for that.

Blaming the Chinese without proof, or even evidence they are to blame, just supposition, is outrageously dangerous and provocative. Accusing them of creating and releasing it on purpose….against themselves….is simply asinine and proof you aren’t thinking for yourself or at all.

Mid terms always go to those not in power, so yes, 2022 will likely return congress to partial Republican control, which you will call a massive mandate against Biden unlike when it happened in 2018 and you just whined that it’s unfair.

>26% of Americans are Republicans. The rest are what you call socialist communists because you don’t know what those words mean. Your party does not represent your (alleged) country….and is shrinking. Democrats aren’t even my party, they are just the only achievable adversaries to the madness of the right at this point in time. Given a better option, I would jump….you can’t say the same. You’re deep in the death cult of personality the Right has become…a true believer.

Biden got money no president in my lifetime has to invest in America. Bridges, Roads, Airports, New water systems, Digital communication improvements, Overall improvements and long deferred maintenance of rail, New funding to fight increasing wildfires (Brandon)…all the things absolutely necessary for the nation to function as a first world nation. He’s already a big winner, and if we aren’t speaking Mandarin in 3 years he still will be. The fruits of his legacy will be enjoyed for decades to come, Trump’s legacy is economic failure, failure to protect from a preventable epidemic, massive unemployment, an administration so corrupt that the convictions of people in his administration or campaign almost certainly outnumber the prosecutions of members of all previous administrations combined while the severity of their crimes outweighs the combined national injury caused by all previous political crimes, and a division so strong one party actually tried to destroy democracy and install a dictator.

History is the judge of any administration, not the midterm, and history will look kindly on Biden, no so for Trump, mired in constant criminal scandal and failures to this day. The only president in our history to not peacefully transfer power, to be impeached twice, who clearly put his own interests above those of the nation at every opportunity. Death and division are his legacy.

Merry Mithra’s season.

Biden’s poll numbers are better than Trump’s despite the disaster he inherited from Trump. Duh.???????????

Polling at 39% is terrible. Yep 60% of Americans think Biden is not good.
disaster inherited ?> Things are worse today then the day Biden took office.

Border crossing was under better control.
American finally had energy independence.
Gas was at least a buck less.
Really spending extra 20$ a tank is "better"
Inflation running between 4 and 6 %.

These are all bad for Americans. Biden policies created these failures.

4.2% unemployment is awesome. This will still great until Democrats mess with cooperate tax rates then the ship will slow back down.

I'm not even going to blame Biden Admin for more covid deaths under his watch ( even with vaccine) than Trumps. Its a loose cannon with ebbs and flows.

Not blaming the Chineese for this death cannon is his and the UN fault. Just goes to show how paid off people are on a global scale.

2022 will be the judgement of this administration.

I don't know, but there's a few things that concern me:

1. Underestimating your advisory. We did this with Japan in the lead up to WW2. Great powers always fight the last war they won. In our case, that's WW2. China learned from the war they lost as well: WW2, and they're not going to make the same mistakes twice.

2. Ambiguous defense posture. This is how England got dragged into WW1 due to an uncertain position if Germany invaded France. Germany gambled that England wouldn't get involved because it had no spoken mutual defense agreement with France. Had the defense pact been made readily clear, it's possible Germany wouldn't have invaded.

2. Use it or lose it weapons. In WW1, one of the main issues with the initial invasion was train schedules. Things had to go perfectly to get men and material to the front line and any hiccup could delay a military victory. Once the very first German troop train left the station, there was no way to stop the invasion. Now we've got a situation where a war over Taiwan would be won or lost in about an hour of the first shot. China knows that should the US get involved, China's military assets are going to be blown up and fast. This puts China in a situation where they might choose the launch everything in a maximum impact first strike. Faced with overwhelming damage, the US would be forced to make some hard choices about how to respond. Would it go nuclear? It's according to how much Taiwan means to us.

"It won't happen". Go to Europe and see how many tombstones bear that inscription.

I'd say 50/50.

It could be a crime….if that had happened. It didn’t.

No legitimate evidence of fraud has ever been presented except a few cases of Republicans voting twice or more. (Lots of debunked illegitimate claims, lots of wasted money and man hours investigating and debunking them, but nothing more)
With no evidence of fraud and mountains of evidence of legitimacy, the secretary deliberately and knowingly certified a legitimate result.
Since the election wasn’t fraudulent or “false”, not certifying the legitimate results would be a crime. That is the crime Trump is soliciting….again. Asking an election official to “find him” thousands of votes, especially as president but even as a private citizen, is a crime….a felony if reports are correct.

Trump does not have that right, nor does he have the right to pressure a Secretary of State to “find” him thousands of votes to rig the election….not as president, not as a private citizen. That is a crime….one he just committed again, this time in writing. You just have no clue what you’re talking about, as usual. Election interference like this IS a crime, one he’s currently under investigation for. Derp. (Repeating myself in hopes it will sink in)

Also, there’s no such thing as decertification…once it’s certified, it’s done, no matter what Hannity and Trump tell you….hint, they aren’t constitutional scholars, they’ve likely never read it. Remember, Trump was elected because he didn’t know how the government works (so ostensibly would “fix” it).

More Mega? Bwaaahahahaha! Please don’t throw me in that briar patch, Br’er Bear. After the last time, you really want to try Mega again!?! Please, put Trump up as the Republican candidate….he won’t get 30% of the vote and will drive billions of dollars into Democrat coffers, and you’ll lose many senate and house seats to boot (and likely have more representatives #walkaway from the Republican Party). Oh no!!!!

bobknight33 said:

Fraud in the election and deliberate knowingly certify this false election could be a crime.

Trump has the right to to ask for decertification due to current facts at hand. That is not a crime. If it can be done I do not think so.

True story.
I was on a job out of town.
That night at the motel bar a guy said he owned a bar. Some redneck asked him who is taking care of the bar while he is out of town. He said, "No one. I just lock it up while I'm gone."
"But who feeds it when you're gone?"

He thought he owned a bear.

Oh no....Trump backing racist right wing terrorists Proud Boys and other far right violent groups are rioting in the streets of Portland, shooting pepper ball guns, spraying bear mace, shooting guns, shooting large fireworks at people, brawling with weapons, attacking press, and setting fires.

Police are standing back and have said publicly that except for life threatening incidents they won't even show up....giving tacit approval of the terrorists rioting. (Proud Boys are a right wing terrorist organization in case you missed it)

Trump's "good people" are now the ones "burning down cities". Own it.

Crickets!!! Where!?! I'm hungry!

Yeah, we aren't insane and don't congratulate poor performance, unlike the right. Biden didn't cause this mess, but he didn't avoid it either.

Biden doesn't have a secret Chinese bank account used by the Chinese to bribe him, Tiananmen Trump did. Biden didn't say exterminating the Wiegers was fine, Tsingtao Trump did. Biden didn't praise Xi for great work on Covid, guess who did, Tai tai Trump. Who's China's bitch? Lol.

No....not another red tsunami!
Please, Brer Bear, don't throw me into that briar patch. Anything but that! Tear off my skin, rip out my eyes, but please, PLEASE don't throw me into that briar patch!

The republican party is too busy eating itself to pose any real threat. Beyond the massive schism between aging old school republicans and frothing at the mouth Q nutjobs that's splitting the party, the right is also hard at work killing it's voters by suggesting vaccines and masks are bad. In my area, 100% of hospitalization and death is unvaccinated morons, and our hospitals are over capacity and death rates the highest ever...all of them right wing nutjobs. Who's doomed!? LMFAHS!!

newtboy says...

*doublepromote someone else finally telling the truth, even if it is just a fictional tv character. I’ve been saying the same thing since around 2000. If we went all in, halted all co2 emissions and all methane emissions 20 years ago, and invested in methods to catch and sequester what we already emitted, we might have avoided the tipping point where we are no longer in control….but instead we increased emissions every year, flooring it towards that cliff and hitting the nitrous button.
*quality if inconvenient truths

That tipping point was reached well over a decade ago when methane started to melt out of permafrost and the deep ocean where it has been frozen for eons. It’s capable of causing warming >80 times as much as co2 short term, >25 times as much long term, and is boiling out at rapidly increasing rates. Pre 2006 it’s estimated around .5 million tons per year…2006 it was measured at 3.8 million tons…by 2013 that was up to 17 million tons with the trend increasing. More recent estimates are hard to find, but it’s agreed that as temperatures climb not only are hydrates melting much more rapidly, bacteria are also accelerating decomposition in the thawed permafrost, and they emit methane. The Arctic is warming up to 5 times faster than the average global temperature. It’s likely over 50 million tons per year by now if not much higher.

Shakhova et al. (2008) estimate that not less than 1,400 gigatonnes (Gt=1 billion tons) of carbon is presently locked up as methane and methane hydrates under the Arctic submarine permafrost, and 5–10% of that area is subject to puncturing by open taliks. They conclude that "release of up to 50 Gt of predicted amount of hydrate storage [is] highly possible for abrupt release at any time". That would increase the methane content of the planet's atmosphere by a factor of twelve in one shot….game over.

Bear in mind, 1 cubic meter of hydrate contains >160 cubic meters of methane gas at atmospheric pressure.

The amount of increase from bacterial emissions in rotting permafrost is debatable, but even the lowest estimates are insurmountable.

This is only one of dozens of KNOWN feedback loops already in action, and there are definitely unknown feedback systems we can’t predict.

This does not mean there’s nothing to be done, we can still mitigate the damage somewhat, maybe slow the rate of change enough that some animals and plants more advanced than bacteria survive long term. It does mean a massive >99% culling of humanity, a total shift in civilization from a money based civilization to one focused on survival, and likely an unavoidable mass extinction rivaling any previous extinctions.

Nurburgring?

I dont have anything against racing electric cars. I think the endeavour to create a mechanical dolphin is most noble. Its still about pushing the limits.

And yet I find the world where the lion tamer cannot step into the cage, the monkey cannot bite your finger off through the bars and you cannot miss a gear heading out of a corner somehow less worth living than the world of my childhood. Yes the smells too.

Maybe the bears are going to miss riding the motorcycle around the arena. Lions born in captivity would be cargo cultists if set free. Push a button to overtake. Sad.

newtboy said:

Huh!?
What's wrong with electric car racing? Electric race cars are already outperforming combustion engine vehicles in multiple arenas, just look at the current Pike's Peak record holder, or Nuremberg. Formula E is easily as exciting as F1. Extreme E races electric off road vehicles through the Amazon. Projekt E brings electric vehicles to top tier rally racing, there are many electric rally series. Pure ETCR is a GT racing series.

Do you miss the noise, or the smell? The racing is actually more exciting thanks to 100% torque at all speeds.
