If we could vote for avatars, I'd vote for yours.
oh my god. just noticed your avatar... that's not a clipper ventures boat, is it?
been out of sift action for a while so I'm only just catching up on what's going on around here. wish I'd been around to back you up on the whole Venezuela TV thing. just been in Brazil and I spent a bit of time researching the situation in Venezuela while I was there.
as an ex-new zealander (recent anti-terrorism raids on my friends have confirmed why I'll never live there again) I long for a democracy where people actually get to have their say, Venezuela being one of the better models I've seen. one can but live in hope.
p.s. also good to find a fellow zmag reader on here
great link with lots of good info to help explain the differences of labels and their inherent beliefs

Hehehe. The political compass test is pretty good: http://www.politicalcompass.org/
seems like there would have been more for the downvote.

For me it's basically trivial what Ron Paul thinks about marijuana decrim.
while I know some reasons why you don't agree with where Ron Paul stands on the issues, I have a had time seeing how you could disagree with him in this video

could you please write a little highlighting why you downvoted so people can see the other side.
thx
Hey Qualm
this video is back up from the discarded dead

thanks for that info on "the commons"
First off, I've been in the hospital for a week and a half.
Secondly, after reading the protocols of Zion, I didn't find it to be anti-semitic.. it was more of a plan for eventual world domination carefully laid out focusing on many facets of the various weaknesses of societies, political structures and political denominations. It was a brilliant yet scary plan. Give me some time to recover from my injuries and I will study it in more detail.

I'm curious, now that you've had some time, do you still consider the vile anti-semitic "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" hoax to be neither anti-semitic nor a hoax?
Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)
Interesting read. Maybe I should have said "prudish" instead.

Re PC speech: your quip on the Coulter vid reminded me of this thoughtful piece I've had bookmarked for a while.

Dude. You need to get someone to save that video. It is really impressive. 3:43 min for a mile. That is astounding.
You should change the title to: Holy Mother of God, Man Runs 3:43 mile and almost loses.
Do you realize that is like 16.2 mph?

It is a brilliant race. I also enjoyed the announcer's offended jibe about the Canadian runner who was "shoved aside." It's obligatory, don'cha know, that at every international sporting event, the Canadians must be offended at least once. As Canadians we demand it.
It's not my playlist - I was adding it to the sports channel (also not mine).
In reply to this comment by qualm:
Would you kindly vote up the unsifted video of the world record run that you thought well enough to add to your sports playlist? I'm assuming you forgot to vote.
that was great info. always nice to see such value added comments

It wasn't only Cheney.

"But even as the majority of the American people came to oppose South Africa's apartheid regime, Reagan stood by his friend. African American leaders and organizations pressured Congress to take action and ultimately it passed sanctions against South Africa. True to form, Reagan vetoed the bill. But to Reagan's shame, Congress overrode the veto."
Also the Thatcher government in Britain, as well as Israel were supporters of South African apartheid.
Here's an interesting article which examines Israel's friendship with the South African apartheid regime:

I know, I watched what there was of it
The link I sent you was to a full version of it on Google Video, I watched the end of it there. It's a good post and that's the complete version if you wanted it. I just used tinyurl because it would have caused a long line to post the full link, didn't know if that would screw up a message here. Does in some places and it didn't seem the time to test it.

That doc cuts off at around 47 minutes. It's why I discarded.
Fix your link with this one, it looks complete. Looks like a decent doc though it isn't about what I assumed, which is good

*discard due to incomplete upload.
I just responded to your comment on the Moore/Gupta video. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts in reply.
Cheers,
