Kelly Slater apparently spent 10 years and $30,000,000 developing this wave pool 100 miles from the ocean---and you can ride it for $10,000/hr

It recycles every 4 minutes, and the ride is about 1 minute long---call it---12 rides an hour for your $10,000---and that's about $883 per ride.

Probable never going to make sense for a personal surfer; probably makes enormous amounts of sense for professional surfers, surf competitions, eventual Olympic competition (you can guarantee wave parity), and media.

Right?

Not worth it!

A friend of my brothers has paid $3,000 to join a group who rented it for a day. When my brother looked into going, the numbers were much less than described in the description above.
