Abel_Priscsays...lol It's pretty funny. Took me a sec to realize it's not real, but it all clicked when they claimed that guy was David Hayter. But the video gets it's point across, so many people are obsessing over this movie as if they've loved it forever. I too, unfortunately, have met people like this. I don't know shit about Watchmen, but I also don't parade as if I do.
Fun Fact: For those who didn't know- David Hayter, the co-writer of The Watchmen, is also the voice actor of Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid series.
jacobreckersays...Dr. Awesome: "This is epic"
Dr. Epic: "Explosions!"

Sylvester_Inksays...Sadly, I've already started seeing poor reviews by early viewers cause they thought they were going to see an action-filled comic book movie and got Watchmen instead. I suspect many viewers are going to be disappointed when they realize the story is quite different from their expectations.
That said, if it's anywhere near the source material, I'll definitely enjoy it.
residuesays...I also like "detective guy"
but then, who doesn't?
bythe way, i read somewhere that they changed the original ending, which is a little unsettling
HollywoodBobsays...I suppose I'm extremely weird, in that whenever I see a trailer for a movie that looks like it might be even mildly watchable, and is based on some previous work, I always get the previous work(if I don't have it already) and read/watch it(again).
Sometimes it ends up being a bad thing in that, I don't enjoy the movie as much as I would have had I been oblivious to the quality of the source material. But usually it works out good, especially if there's some plot hole that is skipped in the film but made clear in the original.
After reading some of the reviews, I'm totally stoked hearing that people expecting Iron Man are getting Watchmen.
12636says...Watchmen was good, I just didn't like it.
rottenseedsays...Watchmen was horrible, but I loved it.
Deanosays...I suspect it will do decent business but as this clip suggests it will be to the already converted. It will be like 300 in its impact. I know the quality will be mixed (just on the basis of the casting) and while I'm intrigued enough to want to see it I don't want to hand over hard earned dosh at the cinema. I'm in for a wait then til my mate can rent the DVD...
Dignant_Pinksays...yea, whenever i become aware of a movie like this (generally a superhero movie, judging by the slough of them coming out these days) i judge the movie based exactly on what i see (if i haven't already seen the source material). unfortunately, there are a lot of people out there who do exactly this. they go out and buy a watchmen t-shirt cuz it makes them look cool, even though they've only seen the movie.
my one friend is a really big comic book fan, and he has a t-shirt with a bunch of super heroes on it. he doesn't really like it though, because of course, spiderman is front and center, twice as big as everyone else. "he's good, but he's not like, the most important superhero. people just think that because his movies were popular." we asked who should be in the front, and he pointed to Captain America, who was off to the side.
