Reminds me of one of my first gigs. It was new year's eve and after finishing a tune, our vocalist looked down at his watch and noticed it was a minute after midnight, without missing a beat, he said 'Oh look, it's almost midnight... 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.... happy new year!!' The audience seemed to buy it, as most of them were too drunk to notice what we had done.
