I loathe Tom Cruise, but that shit rocked hard.

Tom Cruise is awesome. I don't care about the couch jumping. He was foolish to do that and it damaged his career. But he is a great actor (at least great at being himself if not different characters Johnny Depp style)and apparently a rather decent person beyond all the intense moments involving his religion other the years.

I doubt the couch incident is why people loathe him. More likely are his crazy Scientology views/beliefs.
I wish I didn't know about the personal lives of actors. I have a really hard time watching Tom Cruise or Travolta movies. I used to really like them, but it doesn't matter much because most of their recent films have sucked anyway.

It makes me puke that he used his fame to spread such damaging and unhealthy misinformation, and I fear the thought of how many people took it to heart. This was before I found out about his religious views, of which sealed the deal. Now I won't go near any film he signs on.

Tom Cruise's devotion to Scientology never mattered to me, he's an amazing actor and a great person. There, I said it. He always approaches his roles with a degree of professionalism and precision that I always hope to replicate. It's sad really, because he truly believes he's doing a world of good with Scientology. Onstage I envy the man, his passion, his talent. But off stage...from the bottom of my heart I pity the man.
