The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

We've all heard of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but do you actually know them? If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.

lost me at about 3:10. this video is well presented, and well intentioned but what is the basis for these rights? this is the type of diseased philosophy which leads to tyranny and the violation of actual human rights. It is a list of the majority's current opinion on human rights. If this list were made 200 years ago, it would have omitted "the right to be free of slavery." What if, in this same fashion, they missed a couple rights? A person has no recourse because it presents no fundamental basis for these rights. I imagine that in 200 more years they would have to add a few things to the list or take a few off, because majority opinion would have changed.

what bothers me the most is not one mention of the most fundamental human right: the right to life
