Some People Hate TYT -- TYT

YouTube Description:

Some staunch supporters of President Obama and Congressman Ron Paul are outraged when Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian are critical on The Young Turks. Cenk explains why TYT angers die-hard supporters (note, not ALL supporters) who expect only praise for their politician or party of choice. Scan through these three comment sections on Cenk's latest blogs on Obama below for examples of the aforementioned outrage:

I hate them too, but maybe it's just the bias I didn't know I had causing me to find the way they speak and handle their themes immensely annoying.

Edit: I tried watching this clip. Got to 0:37. Can someone drop me a line if the show ever stops resembling an argument on Youtube? Until then... Not watching a single thing of theirs again.

I subscribe to the belief that there is no such thing as unbiased news. That bias doesn't have to lean Democratic/Republican, left/right, or even right/wrong. It could be a bias for interesting stories, or profitable stories, or salacious ones. What a station or a newspaper chooses to cover is already an expression of its bias even if the subjects are handled in an ostensibly objective manner. And it's not as if video causes the bias and print is somehow immune to it.

What I look for in political reporting is not an absence of bias, but rather an acknowledgement and acceptance of it. If the bias is clear and present, then it allows me to analyse what I am consuming with this very important aspect in mind. It's political information that is presented as 'unbiased' or 'objective' that bothers me because it makes me aware that not only am I being deceived in some way, but that the presenters are deceiving themselves.

Another TYT hater here. I need my content unbiased, but I can't stand that gasbag Cenk.

Who's more unbias then The Young Turks? Fox "News"?

I'm not sure if there's anyone who's unbiased, but that's why I don't watch any video "news"...

I dont like TYT because Cyncky dink is an arrogant, pompous fool. I love how he generalizes. Yes, many Ron Paul supporters think he can't do wrong or that his policies will be miracle balm. But many, like me, just like the fact that he states some obvious truths--that he reaches both the liberal and conservative side. That he is electable and hated proves such.

This is Cyncky dink. "All Ron Paul supporters are crazy. All Muslims support Jihad. All blacks eat watermelon..."

Its funny, the reason he does this is transparent. He wants to make a mockery of those he puts down--by doing so he derails them and their legitimacy.

My problem with Cenk is that he pretty obviously cut his teeth on talk radio. It's why I'm not too fond of Ed Shultz, either.

Everything Cenk says is just whatever his gut feeling is, and anything that contradicts his preconception is just never mentioned (when it's just him onscreen), or railroaded aside (when he's got other people around).

A lot of times I sympathize with what he's feeling. He's mad at Obama for not being a partisan progressive ideologue, he's disgusted with Republicans for being fascists, etc.

It's just that he's constantly going off half-cocked, and not really interested in reflection or discussion. At all.

I'm still watching his show on Current (or at least letting it play in the room I'm in), but it's rather quickly losing my interest. He's never covered some topic I hadn't heard about elsewhere (except for the non-political "isn't that weird" stuff Ana covers), nor does he present some fresh way of looking at an issue that I hadn't considered. He doesn't even seem to be able to condense down the liberal argument on the topic of the day in a clear, concise, resonant way, which is usually the main thing I look to get out of liberal cable TV.

All news is biased, it is your duty as a viewer to be able to identify the bias.

The least biased news we have is the Daily Show, which in a way is scary.

I'm strongly of the opinion that news, and information, should be free of personality and ego. Unless it's just a fucking news-based entertainment show, we don't need to know your name or what you think. You're the conduit through which information should be communicated. If we could get an AIBO to do it, I think that'd be much better.

Edit: Although, of course, there's room for commentary. From people educated on the subject. Or qualified. Or insighftul, or otherwise equipped with some kind of goddamn merit.

really like thom hartmann on the russia tv channel.
can't credit it to just one thing, but it's better.
IMHO it replaces Olbermann and Cenk

I really liked Thom Hartman when he was on the radio here (before all progressive radio was bought out & replaced by Catholic radio). I should probably try and watch his show on RT.
