Remy Drinks Breast Milk

Remy from foododdities tries his big sister's breast milk and likes it. Sweet, slightly watery and light, like maple sap. He makes the point that being a real food, drunk by millions of infants every day, it's worth stepping outside of the cultural norms, which limit this food to infants only, just to try it out.

I've been told that mine tastes like melted ice-cream. I asked to try my mum's, when she was breastfeeding my little sister and I remember liking it too. It tasted heaps better than our goat's milk and maybe even more palatable than our cow's. My older child loved it when she tried mine, when I was breastfeeding our youngest. I also breastfed a friend's child once, when she was ill and the baby didn't seem to notice the difference. I remember she gave me a funny look, just before she latched on, but she didn't fuss at all. It was the most natural thing in the world to do.

Does it make it more or less awkward that it's his Sister? Would it be better it if was the bodily fluids of a complete stranger?

Yeah, I agree, but I'm not sure why. It's milk, which is no different (in the way that it's fluids form a body) really from blood, tears, sweat or spit. Just because it's milk from his sisters breast it does seem a bit weird.

Also, I didn't like that this kid is so young. When he was born - the matrix was already out. He was born in the same year as 9/11, yet is still old enough to talk to you about it. HE WAS DRINKING BREST MILK FROM A WINE GLASS!.....

I feel old....
