Next year, let's try to be the 2nd largest group.

where would Fox be if they didn't conjure up a boogeyman?

"we don't teach some man-made creed": HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

"what is right, what is wrong"....what kids we can molest

All religion IS man made, and it was designed by man to keep man in his place ie, servile to men who use it for power over man. And I resent the clear implication that I, as an atheist, am lacking in morality. Secular morals are far more humane than those based upon a 2000 year old myth. Just take the first 5 commandments, they have nothing to do with morality, they simply attest to the vainglorious, conceited, myth called god.

X is proof of God because *insert non-factual opinion*.. people not knowing the meanings of proof, evidence and fact, or disingenuously misrepresenting these terms is really annoying.

I understand that saying 'reason to believe' doesn't carry the same weight, but at least their self-comforting statements could have a degree of validity.

If someone wants to believe something illogical, unproven or unjustified, then that's fine (if it causes no harm to others), but pushing their delusional preference as if it held indisputable legitimacy is something we as a species need to grow out of.

I feel the same about "freedom." You are free to do whatever you please as long as it doesn't impinge on my freedom. For example you can yell inside your house if you like but don't yell inside a public place because you're taking away all the other patrons freedom to a peaceful setting.

Kofisays...

Rabbi - "Moral relativism is the boogeyman but let me tell you how this specific nation should be partially based on an objective truth that .02% believe and I will insist that it is the truth."

Paster - "Evil has no evolutionary explanation yet it exists therefore God exists because the bible says God hates evil and something that doesn't exist cannot hate something that does exist."

Moral of the story - "I'll employ reason and rationality only up until the point that it explains and supports what I believe. Beyond that only God can explain the world around us".
