Nathan Fillion is a nerd

spoco2says...

Nathan just has perfect comedic timing and delivery. Kimmel... not so much

I watched part one of this on youtube as well, piss funny also.

The man is a nerdy god!

KnivesOutsays...

My wife and I just went through the series again, having just bought the boxed set, and every time the intro song starts up, I throw up a little in my mouth. It's that bad!

The show is so good that I don't mind the mouth vomit though. It's worth it.

Firefly is currently the highest second highest rated TV series in IMDB history (with an unprecedented 9.5). This makes me about as happy as it also makes me dumbfounded by Fox for canceling it.

edit: My bad, Twilight zone beats it by .1... but seriously, its the Twilight Zone...

snooznsays...

Mal is great, but I don't believe I care for this "Kimmel" fellow. I love Firefly AND the theme song. I knitted myself a Jayne hat and wore it all winter. A grand total of three people recognized it.

According to Neilson Ratings, that equates to just over 17.83 billion people not knowing.

HugeJerksays...

Fox aired the episodes out of order, starting it off with what I thought was the worst episode of the series "Train Job". I think this did more damage than any theme song.

Firefly was such a good show. If it wasn't for that crappy intro song, I bet it could've made it!

I liked the intro song. It was a really good show and I never understood why it was cancelled.

Fox saw the need to have the brilliant 2 hour pilot "Serenity" snuffed in exchange for 'train job' which I by all means loved, but agree that it wasn't as good as the original pilot. Seems character introductions are a thing of the past.

kymbossays...

I just read a review in IMDB, which reads "As with BtVS, the world is divided into people who get Firefly and people who don't." BtVS is 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'. It's reviews like that which make me reluctant to watch Firefly. I'm into sci-fi, but never things like Star Trek, or a show like Buffy which I found to be teenage rubbish - just tipped too far over the 'geek' edge.
