Microsoft Zune HD - Preview

Unlike iPhone, it doesn't lag like constipated diarrhea.

Earlier today, José Piñero, Zune's new senior director of marketing, swung by the PCMag.com Labs to preview the brand-new Zune HD for us. And we really liked what we saw.

While there are still lots of unanswered questions (Piñero wouldn't confirm pricing or capacities, for instance, but Amazon.com leaks suggest a 16-Gbyte player for $219.99 and a 32-GB version for $289.99), our first in-depth look at the device was impressive. The multi-touch OLED screen works very much like the iPod touch's, and it plays back both HD video as well as HD radio broadcasts. To cap it all off, the device is incredibly thin.

Oh SHHHHnAP! I just gave my ipod touch to my dad cause he liked it so much last week. And microsoft rewards me with this little beauty.

Looks nice , Nice to see they got a decent graphic designer to do the interface. my only wish is that these sorts of devices had 500GB + Space on them , so I could use them as a place to put all my media , Music photography , films , photographs

My first reaction is to laugh and point... "Ha, ha ha! Zune!", but this seems like a real * quality piece of equipment- I especially like the HD Radio tuner- the Zune HD just might be what brings this excellent and under-utilized technology to the attention of the masses. Not to mention the gorgeous OLED screen of course.

(Zune's aren't bad pieces of equipment they just lack the Steve Jobs component)

I'm gonna be lining up to buy this thing, the HD Radio thing has me pulled in just with that. Yes, I have an old iPod 80GB and it looks like a useless brick compared to this thing.

I do not want to give Apple money again for another iPod that still does not have a damn radio in it. Sorry, when the cheapo chinese knockoff mp4 player has a radio I have to question why this is still omitted from iPods.
