Metallica - "The Thing That Should Not Be"

"The Thing That Should Not Be" is one of two Metallica songs about H.P. Lovecraft's destructive extraterrestrial entity named Cthulhu. The film clips in the video are from the 2005 film "The Call Of Cthulhu," based on Lovecraft's story. They made it a silent B&W film to give it the feel of 1926, when the story first came out.

damn! can't seem to enjoy even Metallica's pre-black album songs anymore. I hate them nearly as much as I loved them in those highschool metal dayz

Why? (hating takes up so much mental energy I need a really good reason usually...others don't seem to have a higher threshold for emotional entanglement than I, however.
