Awesome. I know it's "cool" to hate Dire Straits, but I think Knopfler is one of the most underrated guitarists around.

After years of playing guitar (badly) I'm really just beginning to start to commence a possible understanding of the instrument

Been toying with open tunings and it's great fun. Can really open up some interesting possibilities.
