Just Say No to Sex

I sure hope this is joke.

? I think this only part of the video...

...for some reason there was no punch line to this joke

oh and to "Geordi La Forge": let's be honest, your celibacy probably isn't a personal choice.

Yeah, I agree with Rottenseed, it's only celibacy if it's a choice. Otherwise you're just not getting any.

Also, I have to point out to those people on the fence whether it's fake or not. Note the lack of contact info, website etc. That's always a sure sign it's a fake.

I noticed that too, grimsleeper. The whole thing is played pretty straight, but it was that moment that made me think that this video is probably a joke (not a very good one, but a joke nonetheless).

Does anybody else notice how the girl looks down when the guy says: "we don't want to risk catching a sexually transmitted disease" Or is it just my sick sense of humor?

I love how StarTrek guy says, "looking for an ideal mate", and then at the end his smile turns to a slight frown. It's as if he just realized the ramifications of what he just said.

I'm voting this up, because I want someone with more time than me to work out if it's serious or not.

The youtube account is called CollegeCelibacy, and this is their only video.

Their profile has this scary bit of insanity:

"It begins as a gentle swimmer, desperately searching for that ultimate goal; that female gob of fertile madness. It reaches this fertile madness and mixes and mixes, amalgamating like microfusion; creating a complex spirit filled with conundrums, paradigms and strange fixations. It enters the world estranged and alienated, relying on the oral sensations of it's maternal tit. This oral dependency progresses into deeper, more complex and demanding complexes and dependences. It discovers a new "ultimate goal", pushing hard and desperately, searching for that new and novel female gob of fertile madness. It continues, on and on, perpetuating this cycle. Seeking out the seed. Succumbing to the fixations and succumbing to the addictions. It begins to seek out a new seed. It suddenly stops, and is struck by a blinding light of bliss. It becomes enlightened, and begins to understand and embrace a new "ultimate goal". To seek out the noble, honourable, and virtuous values of celibacy."

One had better bloody hope its a joke. Denying perfectly natural urges just for the sake of denying them is really never the answer. SURE, don't be promiscuous and sleep around and have unprotected sex, don't treat sex as just this light hearted nothing. BUT at the same time, if you're in a caring relationship with trust, why not? If you remain celibate until you're married you may well indeed find that you are incompatible in the bedroom, and while sex isn't everything in a relationship, it is indeed important.

Look, people should completely be able to say no, to not jump on the sex bandwagon if they don't want to, should be able to not feel embarrassed about being a virgin, but starting these 'clubs' and groups of celibacy advocates only makes people feel really wrong and conflicted when they do get into a committed relationship and want to take it further. It's ok to have sex, it's ok to not have sex, don't pressure people into it either way, give them plenty of knowledge, let them know the risks (emotional and physical) and let them work it out on their own, never make them feel bad for choosing one way or the other.
