Phreezdrydsays...Is it true that most bullies come from homes with cold or abusive parents? Kids may seem to be thoughtless and mean with such ease, sort of like animals, but maybe that's more to do with being treated like crap in the one place they should feel safe and loved?
Barsepssays...FINALLY, a video that acknowleges the fact that it's not just gays who are bullied. I don't have the power to promote this video, but I can declare it *quality.
Good post

Thank you kindly
Do you mean that you think in the It Gets Better series they should have been talking about the fact that not just gays get bullied? Obviously this is a niche project, but I agree it really helps to put it in perspective.

You know, I've always taught my kids that if someone is horrible to think about the fact that maybe they're not treated well at home. But since working in a school, I've found that a lot of the spoilt little fucks are also very domineering and mean too.

Yes, bully victims come from all walks of life.
Jinxsays...Tbh I think its pretty normal or at least not uncommon to be excluded or ostracised at some point. I'd never consider myself bullied, but I definitely wasn't a popular kid and I was often reminded of that fact pretty pointedly. It hurt, but because it was kinda petty I could cope. Not trying to belittle the suffering bullies cause all kinds of people, I just think if your being bullied based on your sexual prefence or really anything thats deeply personal and integral to who you are the potential for real lasting damage is much higher than kids just being cruel to each other.
