buzzsays...He did hint that they were running out of time on the satellite.
Good interview though, I thought
Kerotansays...Aljazeera has gone from typecast hate press to high brow balanced reportage. And I don't remember when it happened.
notarobotsays...^ A friend of mine, in the navy says that he and his (navy) friends basically turn to Al Jazeera first for balanced reporting anywhere since he joined (which was only three years ago). Some of the demonization of the news organization may have been over-spun or exaggerated by other (competing) "news" organizations.
kceaton1says...Good interview. I just wish somebody was willing to say something useful rather than repeating the same crap that every media outlet or government press secretary has said for the past couple of years. Too much intimidation and money involved to get a clear picture of the situation from either side.
I feel terrible for the civilians though (that goes for Iraq as well).
14163says...I love the the interviewer keeps pressing for evidence of what Israel continues to tout as truthful. I hope more media outlets strive for their interviewees to provide evidence to back them selves up.
messengersays...A professional media manager says:
"Israel has the sympathy and understanding of much of the international community..."
"[Israel] has the sympathy and understanding (or so) of much of the moderate Arab and Muslim world]..."
"...no other democracy would have waited so long or reacted any differently..."
"Hamas... is not only a danger to Israel but a danger to the region..."
"This is a fight between moderates and extremists, and I think that everybody around the world doesn't want to see extremism prevail."
Then...
"There are no talking points."
Where's Letterman's lie counter?
