From uploader: "The concept vehicle in the animation is a human-electric hybrid. You power the generator and the electric motor drives the vehicle. You can also drive it as an electric vehicle if you don't want to or are unable to pedal your self." Check it out; it's a pretty neat concept.

I love art majors who have no concept of Engineering.

I suppose with all carbon fiber or nanotube technology, new battery technology and some type of printed on plastic photovoltaic, this *might* be light enough for human power. But the electric part is a joke, especially the portable grid nonsense. You know how heavy those bikes would get with massive batteries? Maybe with super high tech capacitors it might be feasible.

I would probably just ride a bike.

The resources aren't running out except in the warped minds of alarmists.
