House of 1000 Corpses- Rob Zombie's Directorial Debut

Since Firefly figured out today that I have a weakness for Rob Zombie, I now submit this for your attention: The trailer for his first movie, 'House of 1000 Corpses'... a gory and uber-violent visit to the home of the (get this) Firefly clan, a family of deranged and deformed serial killers. And yes, that is Dwight, from The Office, as one of the hapless college kids who go looking in the wrong places for the mysterious 'Dr. Satan'.

Sorry Raven, but I thought this was a terrible movie. I turned it off after 50 minutes, and it's rare that I ever do that. I've sat through some pretty bad stuff, but I couldn't take it anymore. It was stupid and not in the least bit scary. I haven't seen the sequel, but I'm willing to give it a chance.

this film is special for me, as it holds the title of the worse film i've ever seen. It's the closest ive ever come to asking for a refund from the video rental shop.

couldnt watch it all, after 30 minutes is was a fast forward job.

understandable... if I remember correctly, it was pretty bad ... but, as with many directorial debuts and with Horror in general, that's what ya get!

I highly recommend the sequel 'Devil's Rejects' to the both of you... it is much much better... better story, the annoying or just plain stupid characters have been eliminated and those retained are made much more interesting, all in all I would say it's actually a movie, while 1000 Corpses is more like a string of vignettes and music video scenes.

I think the first time people see this they should come at it keeping in mind it's more of a cartoon than a horror film. It sure helped stifle my disappointment at it's lack of horror-ness.

I still think it's rewarding to come back to every once in awhile for it's characters.

i use to play a drinking game to this movie with my old house mates. during the height of our fondness for this movie, on a weekend morning donut run, who did we happen to see sitting on the curb in front of the donut shop? sid haig, it was totally surreal and amazing.
