Horatio Caine's Seemingly Endless Opening-Sequence Zingers

wallacesays...

"This must be some kind of compliation."

"It's a compilation . . . Miami style."

YEAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!

Beautiful send up of the lame dialogue on these shows.

So good. More existential than Camus. Caruso hits his mark in such a disspirited way. Sunglasses off . . .intro . . .sunglasses on . . .outro.

No wonder he attempted to flee TV a long time ago. . .

Frank:

"So it just looks like the Sift doesn't like CSI Miami?"

Horatio: (sunglasses off)
"It only goes to show you, Frank . . .

*save

(sunglasses on)

The third time's the charm."

YEAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Can anyone else absolutely not stand that creep job? He's such a freaky weirdo with that I'm-so-cool posture, that holier-than-thou inflection in his voice, and the way he puts on his glasses and walks away after a threat so he always gets the last word in.

I can not stand him. Disgusting blowhard.

ShBmsays...

I liked the one where the guy said,"You're already dead." And then Horatio blasted him and said, "Join the club." (YEAH)

Also, the one where the guy blows up and Horatio just looks at him. (YEAH)

What was up with the last one? Bizarre.

Followed almost invariably by *EXIT STAGE RIGHT . . .

My theory is that this bit of business (sunglasses off, sunglasses on, zinger/hands on hips, exit stage right) is solely a product of Caruso's pet tyrannical demands on the crew.

And due to this Sift, I find myself punctuating things that I say with "the scream" in my head.

don't do it,don't do it,you haven't done it in months,don't do it

YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

shit. back to the 12 step program . . .

(also a very good illustration of the antvote 'tell' here. btw, thanks to ant for finally disspelling the mystery once and for all. Now leave his blessed downvotes alone.)
