Hello, Scientology. We are Anonymous. (LULZ forthcoming)

Over the years, we have been watching you. Your campaigns of misinformation; suppression of dissent; your litigious nature, all of these things have caught our eye. With the leakage of your latest propaganda video into mainstream circulation, the extent of your malign influence over those who trust you, who call you leader, has been made clear to us. Anonymous has therefore decided that your organization should be destroyed. For the good of your followers, for the good of mankind--for the laughs--we shall expel you from the Internet and systematically dismantle the Church of Scientology in its present form. We acknowledge you as a serious opponent, and we are prepared for a long, long campaign. You will not prevail forever against the angry masses of the body politic. Your methods, hypocrisy, and the artlessness of your organization have sounded its death knell.

You cannot hide; we are everywhere.

We cannot die; we are forever. We're getting bigger every day--and solely by the force of our ideas, malicious and hostile as they often are. If you want another name for your opponent, then call us Legion, for we are many.

Yet for all that we are not as monstrous as you are; still our methods are a parallel to your own. Doubtless you will use the Anon's actions as an example of the persecution you have so long warned your followers would come; this is acceptable. In fact, it is encouraged. We are your SPs.

Gradually as we merge our pulse with that of your "Church", the suppression of your followers will become increasingly difficult to maintain. Believers will wake, and see that salvation has no price. They will know that the stress, the frustration that they feel is not something that may be blamed upon Anonymous. No--they will see that it stems from a source far closer to each. Yes, we are SPs. But the sum of suppression we could ever muster is eclipsed by that of the RTC.

Knowledge is free.

We are Anonymous.

We are Legion.

We do not forgive.

WE DO NOT FORGET.

Expect us.

I wish people would get this fired up about real problems.
Like what exactly? Yes indeed we should be fired up over poverty, over violence over ridiculous military spending etc. And a lot of people do.

Why is it wrong to get fired up over one wrong over another. If you're so concerned about apathy, why aren't YOU getting fired up over your 'real problems'?

No, not going to, then stop taking cheap shots from the sidelines at those who want to stop one of the evils in this world.

I seriously doubt they're going to get anywhere with this campaign, but man I hope they do as Scientology is truly a terrible, terrible cult that must be brought to an end.

There are much bigger fish to fry, spoco. Waste of good talent. Even so far as damaging religions go, scientology is way on down there. Everyone knows it's a joke. What's their death total, assuming they off 100 people a year, no, let's say 1000. They somehow secretly off 1000 people a year. Which obviously is a way overblown number. I'm not saying they do any of that stuff, but even if they did they wouldn't be near the top of the food chain for world evils. Well they'd still be far behind the kill count of other major religions. Meanwhile corporations, central banks, etc. rape the world unabated. We could go on.

What are you a CoS operative? First of all, you know how much tax dollars are lost because of CoS.

Why do you think rich Hollywood types are in it? DONATIONS TO THE CORPORATE CoS are tax deductible. Do you think they should have tax-free status? They are not a religion. Just because some sci-fi author wants to avoid paying taxes is bullsh...

More videos: hilarious homeless version of We Are Anonymous and equally hilarious NBC coverage

Whether you're right about L. Ron Hubbard's motives or not is irrelevant. Considering most religions are equally absurd, I find no special reason to force Scientology to pay taxes while exempting other religions.

I happen to be against tax exempt status for religions, as most of the major ones continue to dabble heavily in politics with contributions to politicians and business interests.

joedirtsays...

You must be a member of Sea Org huh. Who the hell lurks and never comments or votes, and then replies immediately to my comment, and STILL defends the tax-free bullshit status of Scientology (all hail Xenu)

Whether I'm right or not? Hello? Science-fiction bat-shit insane author claims to start a religion because it can make money. Embezzles hundred of millions of CoS donations into private accounts. Gets his followers into high level IRS offices. You do know the only publicly know breach and infiltration of US Govt is by Scientology.

It is not a religion, anymore than Habitat for Humanity is a religion. It is rich people burying their money into a cult.

I find no special reason to force Scientology to pay taxes while exempting other religions.
Because other religions are RELIGIONS. Scientology is a piece of fiction invented in the 50s-60s by a lunatic. Why would you even compare CoS to other religions?

Also, just FYI, the internets hates you. More hilarious videos for you to watch.

Because other religions are pieces of fiction invented thousands of years ago by lunatics.

Back on the topic, whoever these guys are, they really have planned this out before executing and not just a massive coordinated DOS operative - in fact I think their current phase is doing "everything but DOS attacks".

It feels like going through a real life movie. And I feel horrible for enjoying it.

No one can justify their religion as being more valid than anyone else's claim to religion. There is absolutely no proof of the existence of any divine being, there never has been and there never will be. This does not mean that i am an atheist or a theist, it is simply a fact. It means that no one can argue whether their religion (or belief) is more valid than anyone else's. You may as well argue over who's favourite colour is best.

That's just for the people who say "This was made up by a lunatic in the 60s! It's nothing even close to <x religion>!". That's an argument based on the premise that the religion you've just stated was NOT made up by a lunatic from the 60's (60AD).

I'd just like any religious person throwing shit onto scientology to realise that this is what jesus and his disciples were facing. Yeah, really. I take the Christian example. I can submit that jesus existed, just as you can submit that L Ron Hubbard existed. I can submit that jesus claimed his father was a divine being just as you can submit that L Ron Hubbard thinks we're aliens possessing other aliens.

Both organisations have scriptures, fables, myths, and miracles. Both have people who swear on their life that what they have seen and experienced is real. Both have murky pasts, illegal or immoral involvement in actions to protect the safety of their believers' naivety. Both have sworn enemies.

In 2000 years time, the CHURCH of scientology may be telling stories of how, through diversity, they prevailed. And how L Ron Hubbard and his close family were jailed for their beliefs. Maybe they'll claim he was crucified by evil members of a false religion.

You think christianity was perfect and above disrepute when it first existed? You think people didn't take advantage of their position? You think there aren't STILL preachers that abuse children? Imagine if you'd been around when christianity first existed, and you'd "brought down" christianity. Think what the world would be missing right now!

I may've twisted a few facts (not by much though). See my point?

The more things change the more they stay the same.

(Yes i think scientology is terrible and evil and should be stopped. That's how religions start, folks!)

dannym3141says...

Christ that was offtopic, i totally beg pardon but i think it's a good monologue so i'll leave it.

Wonder if these guys exist/will get anywhere? Very cool! Next step, bring down the crux of society and begin the utopian dream!

Irishmansays...

Scientology IS a religion in the sense that it is manmade, corrupt, and dangerous.

The 20th century is what Christo-Judaism gave us - the most violent century in the entire history of mankind.

It will die.
They will all die.

Evil Disco Man, I love you. I read the same posting, thought to quote and respond with that exact phrase, and you beat me to the punch.
Just because a mythology was thought up 2000, 4000, 6000 years ago and has survived, doesn't make it more legitimate, frankly. Don't forget that Christianity was a "dangerous" underground cult in the Roman Empire until it converted the Emperor and suddenly became the status quo.
Religions gain value when they become mythologies-- like the Greeks--and when we stop believing in their literal truth.

spoco2says...

While I'm against all organised religion as a whole. I fine a HUGE difference between Scientology and other religions is that scientology doesn't allow people to freely read their teachings, but forcing you to pay to find out what they teach, thereby forcing you to get through their brainwashing to find out if what they teach has any merit. Any other "creditable" religion you can freely look up their text (hell they give it to you for free) and quote it as much as you like.

Try doing that with scientology and you get slapped with copyright suits.

If they will only let their precious words be gained via the exchange of money then they are not doing it at all altruistically as they try and espouse.
