For a lot of aircraft the ground is usually the reason they fall apart.
They say falling doesn't kill you, its when you stop falling that causes the problems.

aaronfrsays...Not sure I'd be one of those people running towards the helicopter when the blades are still moving. Sure, they aren't going so fast, but one of those upside the head would still hurt like hell.

I would guess rotor imbalance or ground resonance
