Hehe, I wished So. CA had fireflies. I miss them in PA when I lived there for a couple years. I used to catch them every summer nights, but they all died overnight in the jar. I even stepped on them on the floor to see their glowing boguys/blood. I am a firefly murderer. I think I killed hundreds of them.

that's OK, I'm sure I've stepped on a few ants in my time, so we're even!

alaska has no fireflies... last time I saw fireflies was a night I spent in Pennsylvania!

...so thats where they come from.....
