Epicest HL2 Mod in Existence

Modder replaces almost all sounds in the game with own voice. Makes a video. Epicness ensues.

I like how he actually did try to mirror the real sounds. Like some of the "sound effects" have the proper reverb effects on them, etc.. and others like the pistol, at first I'm like, 'huh?', then I think back to how the pistol actually sounds and it's like.. 'Hey yeeeah'.

WaterDwellersays...

This feels kinda nostalgic. I remember doing this back in the '90s with Doom. There was of course not that many sounds to replace, so it was a much smaller task. (Oh, good old DOS, how I miss thine simplicity. One command to play a sound from the .wad, one command to record a new one, one command to replace the original sound with the new one. A simple .bat file to automate. And that lovely 386 SX 25Mhz. I dreamt about Doom running smoothly every day. )

GDGDsays...

This seems to help with identifying how many different sounds you are actually hearing during some of the fight scenes. Sounds that I think some of us in our immersion register subconsiously.
