Did You Know? 2.0

Very interesting.

Every population 'fact' fails to mention the base populations for comparison (e.g., 2006 graduate numbers versus country populations), almost like it's trying to lead the viewer to certain conclusions.

I dislike the bit at the end about asking your principal, school board and elected representative. Mostly because it takes more than that. While the principal question can be helped be being involved with your kids at home, the school board question about what is being provided requires a willingness on the part of the parent (and the community) to be willing to pay for it. This rarely happens. I've seen more school budgets turned down and programs cut to make a budget pass. And while a question to your representative might push things with him to help develop new education initiatives, I've often seen more strange things come towards our education system than helpful things.

"Did you know... More than 230,000 new users signed up for MySpace... today?"

Did you know 210,000 of them are spammers?

Seriously though, as far back as 10 years ago I used to get text equivalents in chain-email form before someone turned it into a video. So yeah, I did know.

You may not be able to compare the college graduate standard, but 100% of the Indian graduates to speak english is impressive. Assuming they're bilingual thats a well rounded degree holding person.

A computer will never beat a normal human brain until IA becomes real. Then it will probably not be inventive and creative. This video is a total crap full of approximations and non pertinent facts. You can doubt that a computer will help a lot building anything, education will.
