ChaosEnginesays...

I too am conflicted.

On one hand, that trailer had both Led Zepplin AND Peter Dinklage (he was the voice of the drone), which is pretty much instant awesome.

On the other hand, Bungie and stupid system exclusive bollocks... so meh.

RFlaggsaid:

Because it rocked, *promote

Of course I'm holding off on getting the game until it comes to PC... if I can...

RFlaggsays...

The fact that if I get it on my 360 that I can carry that same character and stats to an XBox One if I get one is a positive selling point. Same thing for PS3 buyers to PS4. Now I don't think there's a discount on the actual game, but they do transfer your characters over.

VoodooVsays...

I thought that was The Dinklage! nice!

Huh..I had no idea that you could transfer from 360 to One. Hell I didn't realize it was going to be on 360 at all.

I haven't really followed the game at all but I was curious about it. Didn't realize it was coming out in a few days.

Not only does the character and stats transfer, but they just announced if you buy on 360 or PS3 it will be a free upgrade to the XBox One or PS4 version respectively. http://www.destinythegame.com/digital-upgrade That is a limited time offer, but the character/stats transfer is a regular thing.

Review embargo on the game doesn't expire until release. Usually (especially for MMOs) there's time pre-release for professional reviewers to evaluate the game. When publishers disallow this, it's generally a bad sign.

That and the fact that the beta had a lukewarm reception points to this not being great despite its clearly huge budget.

RFlaggsays...

The beta was semi-meh... semi-good, which is a real concern.

EDIT: The lack of evaluation is likely due to the fact they aren't turning servers on until 3AM EST (which is midnight PST), and since the game can't be plaid without servers... I mean I guess they could put a server up for the press, but they probably fear being able to control others from logging on that picked up early. And while online only, it's not really a full MMO, given the limited number of people per area...

VoodooVsays...

believe it or not I'm still playing SWTOR. Still haven't finished all the class storylines.

if those fuckers won't give us KOTOR3, then I gotta get all the story out of this before I move onto another mmo.
