There is no real mirror, it's purely the image chopped in half horizontally and mirrored in software.

the effect was nice in that it drew your vision to the sky and the buildings by blocking out the more complex images on the ground. Kinda lost its draw though because any gamer whos been around a while will immediately think they are playing a game from 1993 before shaders, where most water reflections were just mirror images.
