Maybe it's just me but I fucking hate Walter White, I also like Skyler. I think it's really cool that I can really like a show where I hate the protagonist. I remember at times really disliking Buffy but she was serving a very important purpose, and I liked her move often than I didn't like her.

Some of the best drama works when the protag is hard to identify with or endear yourself to...s'called good writing and by-god, TV needs more!

Absolutely, but Walter isn't a complex character anymore. He's a man that you want to put your boot on his head and crush it. It would be one thing if circumstance pushed him to be a bad person, it's another to actively do bad things (Brock) or allow bad things to happen when you could intervene (Kristen Ritter).
