Baghdad Blogger: Report from Iraq Part 1
This very well done. I remember reading Salam Pax as the Iraq War was about to start and for a couple of months afterwards. He's very articulate, and very likable.
I was concerned for his safety then, and still am. It's good to see that he seems to be doing well though.
Ultra-Low Desert Flying in Morocco: Dassault Mirage Jets
I was wondering the same thing. According to the youtube comments it's "on n'est pas comme ça" by the Silmarils.
Going the Speed Limit
Yeah... these people are idiots. They would have caused a similar traffic backup by driving four across at 65 mph without letting people pass them. How does obstructing traffic make their point? And the danger of driving 55 that they claimed to show was actually the danger of blocking the whole highway and forcing people to get around you on the shoulder.
Sure 55mph is slow, but as they say.. its not enforced. Maybe they are trying to get a 70mph speed limit that is enforced? I understand frustration with a low speed limit that is not the actual speed limit, but try to prove your point in a way that isn't a public nuisance.
In Ontario, a couple of people tried this stunt on the 401. They had their licenses suspended and they were charged with obstructing traffic. As far as I'm concerned these people should have gotten the same treatment.
Rodney McCray Runs Through a Wall!
Uhh.. he didn't catch it. You can see the ball bounce off the wall.
Duke Nukem Jam
I'm not sure its exactly the same. The guitars don't sound the same.. I can't put my finger on what it is. He definitely does take from the Megadeath version, but I am inclined to believe him when he says he performed the parts separately and put them together for the video.
From what little I heard, I liked his better. That might just have been the vocals thing though.
Duke Nukem Jam
I was feeling a little bit of Duke Nukem nostalgia and this hits the spot.
