Dems: "Over 10" threatened with violence re: Health Care

The Age of Enlightenment you mean? History is a snarky mistress. Guillotines brought democracy to the French, maybe its time for guillotines to end it for the Americans?

Booby-trapped bike teaches thief a lesson!

This is absolutely hilarious. The liberals/socialists are chiming in that being a victim of theft is morally wrong? While their whole political platform depends on stealing from other people? Makes sense I guess (within that perspective) but whew talk about a fucked up moral compass.

Riding a shitty bike with soapy handlebars and direct-drive isn't illegal. Neither is leaving a bike against a building so this discussion is so mind boggling retarded I can't believe it generated so many responses.

I can understand the wacko socialists having their moral compass on backwards, but longde you are a pretty reasonable guy, why the defense of this?

What else can "getting out of a ladies way" be if not chivalry? Chivalry was killed in the mainstream when feminists started complaining about it. It still exists in small circles where and when it can be used as a tool for sexual conquest (as it always was)..i.e. when a guy is after a girl who gets off on "a guy who opens doors for me or picks up the check or has good manners"

The problem in this situation is these women think all men want to court them at all times...hence the pompous sense of entitlement and selfish attitude they project towards men. I'd put them in the same group as the feminists who complain about guys opening doors for them - the "people I don't want to date" group.

chivalry:
what remains of it, for the most part, is part of the courting ritual.

i'm sorry you have bitchy, attractive, spoiled neighbors. but chivalry and feminism aren't the issue.

You don't gain insight by reading a single paragraph out of a 500 page book, its a valid criticism. NetRunner here hasn't read a single work of Hayek (correct me if I'm wrong) so what business does he have quoting someone he hasn't even attempted to read, or doesn't even understand? Same goes for you. What have you read on any of these subjects aside from some trite, 1 page internet blogs? Reading is the only cure for ignorance...and you'd have to read an awful lot of 1 page internet blogs to put a dent in the lack of knowledge displayed here.
>> ^Stormsinger:
Care to address the actual subject, or just trolling again? Silly question, I know...
>> ^imstellar28:
Why don't you try actually reading the book, or heck, any book for that matter?

Capitalism & Communism : the worst of both worlds (Blog Entry by jwray)

Via this logic, half-evil is better than all-good. Have to say I disagree.

As usual the "Middle Path" is the way to go. Siddhartha figured that out thousands of years ago and so have countries like Sweden and France. Not being afraid to pragmatically choose the best bits from many differnt "isms" is the way to go. I hope my home country figures this out before it dissolves.

Corporatism != Capitalism

Also, Human nature is the cause of stupid. No matter how you look at it half of society will always be stupid (bell curve)...until we genetically engineer ourselves into perfect clones, that is.
