Despite an aversion to violence, when she says "punch me in the face", I wish I was. In reality, at some point, punching her into a faceless pulp would cease to be satisfying, but in my fantasies I just pressure-wash the mess into the gutters and let the small portion of the world with brains thank me for my good work.

Right-wing Bets Against U.S. in Pirate Standoff

bombing the coast of Somalia? Disgusting, futile, stupid. To hear someone even suggest that is a logical solution to such an incredibly complex issue without knowing or even trying to empathize with all sides of the issue is nauseating.

If you're family was covered in rashes and tumors from nuclear waste washing up on your shores and your fellow countrymen couldn't feed themselves because opportunists were stealing their fish, wouldn't you be a goddamn hero for trying to defend your waters and attempt to get some payback for the damage done? I guess not. Sorry you were born in a country without a government, but go frak yourself and suck on the toxic by-products of the civilized world. By no means, am I advocating terrorism or piracy, but I'd suggest its unfair and hypocritical to pass such clear and belligerent judgments without a critical analysis of the entire situation. Violence is indeed an occasionally appropriate response, but working on the causes of this problem seems a lot more logical than breaking out bombs and bullets.

I'm confused. I checked out all the comments before watching this and was expecting to gush. I'm embarrassingly sensitive and tear up even when the Simpsons cue up a minor chord for a dramatic moment. This clip didn't even squeeze a drop of moisture from the bottomless emotional wells I call my eyes. Is it because I don't have children? Is it because I don't understand why the War in Iraq would ever be a reason for a man to leave his child in the first place? Is it because the presence of the camera implies that the scene is contrived? I'm not getting it. Different strokes move different blokes, I guess.

"I call ripoff"?

This kind of talent should be appreciated despite the possibility of it baring a resemblance to something someone else has done. I suppose we should make fun of Shakespeare because the Greeks wrote tragedies millennia before the Bard? There's nothing new under the sun, just enjoy the various variations.

Who Killed the Electric Car?

gizmundi says...

If the U.S. spent the 300+ billion dollars that's gone into fighting the War in Iraq to cover our deserts with wind farms and solar panels, it's pretty obvious that we could generate enough energy to support electric cars. It's not a conspiracy. It's just outright bloodthirsty greed by an infintisimally miniscule percentage of the population to continue raping the earth dry of it's last drops of multi-trillion dollar valued oil. It can actually make you sick if you really dwell on it.

I'm Sick of Being a Hungry Vegan

I've eaten like a vegan for over a decade, and this video is hilarious. I think a necessary attribute of existing in this universe is to maintain a sense of humor about absolutely everything. Preferably a sick sense of humor.
